Great location for visiting the Peak District, Chatsworth, Hardwick Hall or Hadden Hall and good access to the M1. Very friendly and efficient staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Excellent cooked or continental breakfast breakfast. Would highly recommend.

I have stayed in many hotels and B&B's in the UK for the money this rates among the best for a peaceful rest and comfort a beautiful location and the best breakfast I have eaten in any restaurant anywhere in the UK and Europe. The staff in both the Hotel and Restaurant are very friendly, polite and helpful.

One of us is confined to a wheelchair. We found the disabled room facility to be large enough to be very comfortable, as was the bathroom, and the beds were excellent. The wardrobes also placed to accommodate wheelchair users. I would recommend this hotel without reservation for disabled visitors.

Friendly,efficient staff, clean comfortable room,good reasonably priced food. The place to stay with easy access to many houses and gardens. Definitely recommended for good, less expensive stay in a beautiful area.

Visiting Chatsworth House, a very impressive stately home driving through the park, jaw dropping scenery!. The house has a wonderful staircase and the ceilings are richly painted.
