The lunch time carvary is reasonably priced and you can have as much on your plate as you wish. If you want less, choose a cheaper smaller plate. The choice is not extensive but it is very good and they will try to accommodate you if you (especially children) want something else .One cannot reserve a table under 10 people... More

Been a few times and whatever food I have had has always been good. Freshly cooked and very tasty. The menu is not huge but has something for everyone. It is a very cozy pub, and always clean, tidy and and a nice place to have food. Quite busy the Saturday night we went and had a thirty minute wait... More

Haven't been here for a while but not disappointed with our visit. Seems to be less on the menu but still good choice large portion sizes and reasonable cost especially with the offer of buy one meal get the other half price before 7pm. Staff very friendly and efficient and always happy to help.

This is a great location, the gardens are big enough and safe enough for children to play, the conservatory was excellently lit and it had a wonderful atmosphere. The bar area is full of smiling faces and the people are very approachable. I wasn't keen on the decor but other than that a beautiful pub.

.... But could do with a touch up. The Rising Sun has been a well known pub/restaurant in Rogerstone, since for ever. It was known for serving good quality food in a nice environment. I haven't stepped a foot inside this pub for nearly 20 years, and nothing has changed, except it looks older. I found the staff professional and... More

Some friends of ours were staying here for the Ireland v Wales game. We were a few miles away. On the Saturday night it was England v Uruguay on the telly. They said come over and we can eat, drink and watch the match. The TV is the 'bar' area which is directly off the 'restaurant' area. We were told... More

Pleasant pub with friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Room was functional, clean and tidy and although my bedroom at front near the road it was just a background drone and did not cause any disruption. One word of warning: the road either way meets up with M4 and can get busy in the morning with commuter traffic. There is a... More
