My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful, purpose built accommodation, in the main house. Everything was absolutely pristine and appeared to be brand new. The owners Sarah and Ian made us feel most welcome. The grounds are superb and very well looked after. The large and colourful garden leads down to a Jetty and a... More

We stayed in the Cowdrey Suite for four nights and it was exceptionally comfortable. It is a self contained apartment with a full kitchen and sitting area as well as a good bedroom, huge bathroom and a large balcony with beautiful views. Everything is very well maintained and serviced, with all amenities topped up daily, - including Sarah's delicious home... More

We can only echo the views of previous reviewers - this is a wonderful place and the location perfect. Sarah and Ian have created a beautiful, welcoming home in an unspoilt haven. The quality of everything they do is superb - the fittings in Cowdray apartment, homemade cake to welcome you back every day and wonderful breakfasts. They are great... More

a fairly modern purpose-built B&B. Warm welcome, excellent room (well equipped and comfortable bed) and conveniently placed for Nelson and Abel Tasman park. Near a couple of excellent restaurants in Mapua for dinner.

Spent two nights here recently and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Beautiful and comfortable suite, beautiful view of the estuary. A delightful breakfast is served in the main house (where Ian and Sarah actually live) adorned with their gracious and friendly hospitality. Thanks again for the great coffee

We stayed for 3 nights and were extremely impressed by the standard of accommodation in the all incusive Cowdrey Suit and the stunning views from the balcony. Ian and Sarah looked after us very well and gave good advice on local attractions. The garden was also very peaceful and beautifully tended. We would have liked more time just to relax... More

We stayed for 2 nights and wish it could have been longer. Atholwood is in a beautiful quiet position, but very convenient for Mapua where there is a good selection of restaurants. Our room was very light and spacious, spotlessly clean and had wonderful views across the bay. Sarah and Ian made us feel very welcome and gave us lots... More

We stayed for two nights in the Cowdrey Suit which is a truly luxurious, spacious one bedroom apartment located in a separate building from the main house. The suit comprises a large double bedroom, ensuite bathroom, sitting room with satellite TV and well appointed kitchen if you are so inclined. The suit opens onto a balcony which spectacularly overlooks the... More

We stayed for three nights with Ian and Sarah who couldn't have been more hospitable. The room was very comfortable with a great balcony view and absolutely spotless. They gave us lots of good recommendations for things to do locally, including excellent restaurants in Mapua. The Apple Shed and Jellyfish were great places to eat and Wheelie Fantastic sorted out... Atholwood is tucked away near Mapua between Nelson and the Abel Tasman National park - two top class venues. Ian and Sarah have built a haven of luxurious tranquility. With a view across Tasman Bay towards Nelson and complete silence, this is a place to truly relax. Our room was huge, beautifully furnished with an immaculate bathroom. I would only... More
