we stayed here after a day out locally and arrived to receive great care. We had 2 rooms one for the kids which was close to ours. Breakfast was great with plenty to eat, lots of nice touches like warm milk for looking after our youngest 10 month old. Very reasonably priced too. Would recommend.

A superbly clean place to stay considering it's a working farm. Great and plentiful food. Well worth booking the breakfast - all freshly home cooked from local produce. Very friendly & helpful staff. We stayed for a week, it wasn't long enough. We will certainly go back there. Very highly recommended, we cant praise the place enough.

We have just returned from a fabulous week staying in The Coach House. We were greeted upon arrival by Sam (In my daughters words: A lovely big softy of a dog). The cottage was just what we hoped for, full of rustic charm and character which went very well with the farms surroundings. 2 large bedrooms upstairs each with their... More

Far superior to any hotel for a visit to Alton Towers or this beautiful part of the UK. Very easy booking process (took a credit card deposit over the phone or could have chosen to post a cheque) with excellent communication by owners. Our dietary needs were catered for with good humour and consideration. Breakfast cooked to order and a... More

Stayed here while visiting Alton Towers which is a 10min drive away. Had a lovely spacious room with a double & bunk beds. Very clean & comfortable. Only complaint was there was no hairdryer. Lovely setting & we were able to sit outside our room & enjoy the sunshine. Just had the continental breakfast which was more than adequate. Will... More

This family owned B and B is situated within 6 miles of Alton Towers and provides the perfect retreat for those dizzied by the rollercoasters. The rooms are tastefully adorned and you will certainly appreciate the hot chocolate and biscuits provided after a long day of queuing! The hot breakfast is worth the extra few bob and prepared meticulously! We... More

I stayed here for two nights and I can honestly say it was good value for money. The only two down points I have are that the beds are in need of new matresses and the blinds in the rooms let in as much light when they are closed as well as open. Apart from these two things everything there... More

Good luck trying to make a booking. The folks who run this establishment are incapable of reading their own emails and have a nice Fawlty Towers attitude. Perfect for those who miss John Clease and the rest of the gang.

Our stay on this beautiful farm followed a very tiring day at Alton Towers with a 5 and 3 year old (cbeebiesland). Due to my ineffective preparation, I didn't have the directions from Alton Towers to the farm and had to call the farm-hotel for directions. Owners couldn't have been more helpful and called back on hubby's phone so I... More

We had a great stay in the Anvil apartment at this beautiful working farm. A great breakfast top it up nicely. Really well placed near Alton Towers but also not far from the Derbishire Dales, Dovedale for example is a short drive away. Many thanks, Martino & Julie.
