A very run down old worldy Hotel , A bit smelly in places , In need of a complete overhaul. We had 3 room for the family . Bedrooms barely adequate. Beds lumpy, bathrooms a bit grubby, tea /coffee supplied but tasted awful. Linen was clean but again a bit old. Windows hinges broken , one of our rooms was... More

Spent one night... Yes it's old fashioned which is fine but the rooms completely smelt of dirty old smoke, our towels were dirty, there's cracks in the walls, bathroom mouldy, floor seems like it's gonna collapse any second. Staff we're ok. Breakfast was really nice. Wouldn't stay again. I know it's cheap so should expect much but it should at... More

My mother, daughter and I spent 2 evenings at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. Against advice from family friends, we found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, although in need to some updating, which is understandably costly. The hotel has great character, and the staff are friendly and very obliging. And Stu makes a mean cooked breakfast... More

Booked this for one night and was glad as the room was not that nice, the bed lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on with only a sheet and itchy blanket which I did not use unclean all over, the bathroom could do with a deep clean, toilet didn't flush properly, tv didn't work no picture only sound managed to sort... We booked two rooms, one twin and one double and requested for both of them to be next to each other. Upon reaching the hotel it looked dreadful and old and is on the corner of a main road in the middle of the town. There is an operational railway bridge right next to the hotel and you have to... Having reading some reviews I was sceptical, but after arival I was alarmed to find the worst of my fears weren't even close. Dirty poorly run .... this a hovel if you saw this on a charity appeal you would give generously to stop people having to live in these conditions. But this is in th UK not the third... More

We booked this hotel on a last minute website and paid far too much for what we received £90. The hotel smells, it's right next to a railway and our room just wasn't clean in anyway shape or form. Crisps in the bed, debris on the floor, bottle of contact lense cleaner full on the floor. The bathroom mirror was... More

Location This is in the town of Longton which is one of the towns that make up the polycentric city of Stoke (note Hanley is considered the centre) and in close proximity to the Gladstone pottery museum and Longston train station. Value I paid £17.50 for a single room and for this money it was clean, but dated decor. I... More

My company put me up in this hotel for 3 nights while working in Stoke. On arrival I thought " could do with a lick of paint, I'll give it a go." The hotel needs more than a paint job, my matress had a spring sticking through and was covered in urine stains, the hotel was dirty and full of... More
