I stayed here for one night only for business purposes and was pleasantly surprised. Accommodation was very comfortable, clean and my room had a lovely fireplace! Breakfast was lovely and all in all, would highly recommend this venue as a great place to stay if you have 1 or 2 nights in Cape Town.

We booked accommodation at Medindi because the location is reasonably convenient for the airport. The house is an imposing 2 storey late Victorian building, with additional rooms in the garden. Both the rooms we booked (one was a superior room, the other a standard room) were unexceptional and did not compare to the rooms shown on the website. We thought... More

I am in room 203. The place is decorated beautifully and in a good location. But what is the point if the service and customer enjoyment is poor. Some issues include being told ham is the only "variety" of cold meats they offer (note I do not eat any form of pork). To having the master key left hanging on... More

I've stayed here a few times and each time have been welcomed warmly and received great service. The rooms are all well maintained with lots of small details taken care of. Many rooms have big baths and fire places which are lit in winter when the room is turned down. Breakfast is amazing, full cooked or lots of cold options... More

We recommend staying at Medindi Manor if you are searching for a peaceful rest, mouth watering breakfast, relaxing ambiance and heartwarming hospitality. Very warm staff. Beautiful architecture, ample rooms with high ceilings, antique and tasteful decoration and super comfortable beds! Nice and relaxing garden.

Our first stay at the Manor, and definitely not our last. A charming classic building, with extremely comfortable rooms, and quite outstanding levels of service and attention by a young, professional and really likeable staff. Our room was absolutely spectacular, large, well appointed and opened out on to a lovely shared balcony. Location is excellent for transport to Cape Town... More

Just back from Cape Town, staying for 5 nights at the Medindi Manor hotel - it was a pleasure to stay here, old colonial building, friendly helpful staff, delicious breakfasts, comfortable rooms and beds. Lovely, well kept gardens and pool. Well situated for the city but in a quiet location. Would love to go back and can recommend unreservedly.

This expansive, beautiful, well-cared for estate is an escape from the outside world. Besides the swimming pool, Medindi Manor offers many lounge chairs, tables with chairs, and other opportunities to hang out with friends or just lie around. The former mansion houses a number of rooms, some on the main floor and others on the upper floor. Ours and our... More

I had the pleasure of spending two nights at this really comfortable guest house. The garden is very well kept as are the rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great unlike in other guest houses where my colleagues were staying. The location of this pleasant place is also suitable for those who have business in town. Next... More
