Was a pleasure staying over. Everything was immaculately clean, homely, quiet (for a great nights rest), full blown breakfast, stunning neighbourhood, owners were accommodating and professionally friendly. Would definitely repeat. :)

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Bishopsfield - what a lovely experience - Colwyn gets the balance just right - she is friendly but not intrusive, the breakfasts are stunning - and she and her staff create a real home from home experience - we highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone wanting a quiet homely experience.

I just came back from a week in Cape Town, where I stayed at Bishopsfield Guesthouse...and LOVED it!! I felt like I was staying with very good friends while still having my own part of the home and my privacy. I was made to feel at home right from the start with Colwyn (the owner) and Phele (one of the... More

I am not a frequent visitor to guest houses or B&Bs, but Bishopsfield Guest House may change my habits. We were traveling to Cape Town and were booked there by friends so weren't quite sure what to expect but we were thrilled to find large. beautiful rooms in a quiet part of Cape Town. Colwyn Devale is the perfect blend... More

I -- and members of my family -- have stayed at Bishopsfield four times over the past 5-6 years, most recently in Feb-March 2012. Everything about this B&B is classy -- the rooms, the breakfast, Colwyn the proprietor, the neighbourhood....you name it. My only reservation in recommending it is that it may be more difficult for us to book rooms... More

I really would recommend this guest house. I stayed in the flatlet, that really is very spacious, neat and extremely comfortable. The gardens surrounding the house and flat are well kept, tranquil and beautiful. Everything about this guest house is well planned and this really feels like home away from home. The flat has a little lounge area, with a... More

We stayed 4 nights at Bishopsfield Guest House in early August, with my wife and I, our 3 children (ages 9-14) and two teenage friends. I picked this guest house somewhat randomly from an array of choices on the capestay website, but could not have been more pleased. From the moment of our first inquiry, several months before our trip,... More

If you like to travel in the way that we do, you probably don't like staying in big resorts. Small Bed and Breakfasts can be great, but sometimes it is hard to get into conversations with people over every meal especially when your days are full, meeting new people and traveling around. The Bishopsfield Guest House in Rondebosh, Cape Town... More

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in the Cape Town suburb of Ronderbosch where stayed at the fantastic Bishopsfield Guest House. The self contained suite we stayed in was spacious, extremely well presented whilst offering a feeling of privacy. Colwyn was a fantastic host who made every possible effort to make us feel most welcome. As the... More

A late review of a remarkable place. Only reviewing now because we are going back to Cape Town and have been looking through Trip Advisor to see if Bishopsfield has been rated - beautiful rooms (in the house and the self contained units - we stayed in both), great rates and magnificent hosts. Thank you Colwyn
