This is a charming guest house, more like a bed and breakfast with a relaxing, homey feel. It's conveniently located to UCT and is a nice alternative to the standard chain hotels. The grounds have a tropical feel with a small pool and a jacuzzi. Breakfast is served every morning from 7-10am. It's very casual, and you have your daily... More

Little Scotia is a very simple, cozy and pleasant place in Cape Town and makes for a great place given its location next to UCT and the Baxter Theatre and the shadow of Table Mountain. I have been coming to Cape Town for almost four years for work and stay there every time. Its friendly staff and the "home-away-from home"... More

We recently stayed at Little Scotia for 10 nights while visiting our daughter who was studying at the University of Cape Town. After traveling all the way from Connecticut in the USA, we were very glad to arrive at such a welcoming place. We were happy with the accommodations, including cleanliness and room size (room 23). The common areas and... More

We stayed at this B&B during the busy festive season. It was conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Many little passageways lead to the rooms round the back. Very helpful staff and the breakfast has a variety of options to choose from (we went early to get the freshest things). Our room was spacious except for the bathroom - small... More

Little Scotia staff are so accommodating, the rooms are well-appointed and it is in quiet area, close to shops and restaurants. It is conveniently situated on Main Road in Rondebosch, making it easy to get to the Waterfront, the city or Kirstenbosch Gardens etc. Their breakfasts are excellent, and hot and cold beverages are available in the dining room. We... More

I stayed for two nights while attending meetings at University of Cape Town and, while my stay was certainly fine, I wasn't overly impressed. I found my room to be rather small (i.e., European city size), the heating to be a bit noisy, and I couldn't get wi-fi from my room - the latter being important for me when on... More

The guesthouse was very beautiful. But what impressed me the most was a good looking gentleman named,Mark.I was very impressed by his attitude and his friendliness, going the extra mile for guest.I had software problems with my laptop. He made a couple of calls and sorted my laptop out,and i needed it for a conference the following morning.Well done.I will definately recommend this... It was a typical winter evening - pouring down with rain and dark - when we arrived at Little Scotia, so we didn't see the property at its best. Nonetheless the welcome from the staff was friendly. My room was quite small but nicely decorated and well equipped with several nice touches (biscuits and nuts; and a full range of... More

On my return from Safari I was booked into the Little Scotia. I had pre-paid my 3 night stay and arrived late which the guest house was aware of. When I arrived I was greeted by a very nice front desk gentleman named Mark. Mark checked me in and told me about the times for breakfast and took me to... More

Dear Mrs Berman We at Little Scotia are disappointed that your short stay at Little Scotia was unsatisfactory to you. We do strive to offer quality accommodation and service to our guests. Had we not been fully booked for that particular night we would gladly have moved you to a room closer to reception. Unfortunately our hands were tied for... More
