We stayed for 5 days at this very small castle, which at first glance gives an open aspect of size. Sadly this wasn't our finding as the property is surrounded by other residential properties. Our upgraded room was very clean and tidy but overlooked the car park. Breakfast was poor in my eyes as you were provided the bear essentials.... More

Consistently excellent. Hidden away from the ugliest town in Umbria there is always a warm welcome here. The owner knows her stuff and as a result the meal is always a wonderful mix of local flavours. We go back again and again but not often enough . We always eat too much!

We were a group of 7 couples travelling all over Umbria. We booked 5 nights in Torre Sangiovanni. From the moment we arrived, we felt like coming home.Ms.Rosary is a very warm and caring person.Everything was perfect. The cosy and beautiful rooms ,the morning coffee in the garden, the service in breakfast and the tasty dinners.Only once we ate outside(in Spoleto) and regret we... We stayed 5 days in this hotel, maybe a bit long. We chose it to explore the area of Umbria around Todi. The B&B is located in a refurbished building and the owner has done a great job in decorating it with antique and modern furniture. The reviews were excellent and that's why we expected every detail to be perfect,... More

This little B&B is situated in and next to a town wall tower, and has a very cozy charm to it. Collevalenza is close to Todi, which can easily be reached by car. The bedroom we had was very nice, with a separate sitting area which looked like those you see in medieval castles. The bathroom was very nice and... More

When travelling down the E45 this is an excellent place to stop and rest awhile. The ambience is charming and cosy redolent of both Italian and English elegance. The owner greets you warmly and leads you in to the beautifully decorated dinning area comprised of two small rooms furnished in exquisite and eclectic taste. The menu is substantial and varied.... Arriving from Florence which in itself is beautiful, and finding yourself immersed the countryside of Umbria, you find the Torre Sangiovanni b&b. welcomed by the owner Rosary she showed is to our room. An amazing beautifully decorated triple room. Dinner was in a small but adorned with paintings. The food was excellent. Simple but good home cooking by the owner... More

Torre Sangiovanni did not disappoint. My husbands one request of our trip to Italy was to stay in a castle and this is what he booked us for. Rosary has done the most incredible job decorating this property. If you choose this place pay attention to the detail of the painted walls, the numerous pieces of art and of course... More

Lovely, perfect place to relax and enjoy fine dining. I feel like a Princess in my Castle. I'm typing this message from the dining room at Torre Sangiovanni where I just finished my third wonderful dinner during a five night stay. Torre Sangiovanni is very central for exploring the area; Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio (Rosary's suggestion), Siena, Assisi, Spoleto -... More
