Our family (kids are 9 and 11) enjoyed a 3 night stay here last week and thought it was excellent. THe cabins were stylish, comfortable and clean. The food was delicious and plentiful (and very good kids portions), and, best of all, served in their creek side restaurant where there are fish and turtles paddling away. The setting is lush... I would rate this place higher if I was not to compare it with a city stay somewhere. For its location and for the facilities offered in a difficult to reach part of the world, it's worth 4 stars at least. Wonderfully friendly staff and a beautiful location right inside the forest which gives it a wonderful atmosphere and terrific... More

Very nice place to stay in the Daintree. Crystal clear creek running along the property for fish and turtle spotting, swimming holes in the rainforest, all you can hear down there is birdsong and running water, magic! Nice little swimming pool is a bonus! Lodging has been recently renovated and is very nice - smallish duplex "cabins", however they are... More

A peaceful little part of the world. A highlight was swimming in the beautiful waterholes and spotting turtles swimming past. The restaurant was really a big surprise- really good food. The accommodation is simple but clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful- when my mum couldn't have the fruit salad for breakfast because she's allergic to kiwi they made her... More

We stayed here one night in a family room. Unfortunately our beds were very uncomfortable, our child's bed squeaked loudly every time he moved. Ours was hard and lumpy, but we were only staying one night, if we were staying longer we would have asked for another room. However the whole experience was still lovely. Set in the beautiful rainforest,... More

While on an Outback Spirit Tour to the Top End recently, we stayed in The Heritage, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only was the room, and food produced excellent, but all the staff were friendly and helpful, and all had wonderful smiles on their faces as they assisted everyone. Of particular note was Anthony, one of the very friendly waiters.... More

Vicki and the staff were terrific. Wonderful hospitality and food with clean, comfortable accommodations. Beautiful location with much to see and do in the region. The lodge is well away from the beaten path so you get a real feel of the rainforest. We'll be back! 5 stars*****

Our first trip to the daintree and we will be back! Vicky the owner of the Heritage lodge is a terrific operator. She went out of her way to make our stay wonderful, even lending us her car. The staff were all fantastic and the hotel amenities were outstanding, cannot speak highly enough of this place. The restaurant was so... More

This was our first trip to the Daintree and we did not know what to expect. The Lodge was great. The room was comfortable, and right near the swimming hole. Which is awesome. We walked the grounds looking at the various animals; getting some nice pictures. Vicky was awesome, making calls to various tour operators letting them know where we... More

We spent 5 nights in a family cabin at the lodge. Cabins are not fancy, but are clean and comfortable. Cabins are "duplexes" but we had no neighbors of the human sort. There was a fair amount of animal activity at night, and the occasional mango dropped on the roof by the small marsupials that frequent the garden. The gardens... More
