This seems one of the best places in the Daintree National Park for seeing cassowaries. We saw a cock with its chick just passing by behind our cabin room during our breakfast. Rooms are sound and pricing is appropriate.

Stayed overnight here in the campervan section. There is a covered cooking and eating area that was nice since it rained while we ate. Woke up to the sounds of Flying Fox bats flying around. A nice spectacle. There are nice trails to walk which we really enjoyed. If you want something to eat they have a restaurant with good... More

Dropped in here for food. It was excellent. Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the coral fish which was amazing--loads of flavour, We all had some amazing puddings too--everything is homemade . You may have to wait a little if they are busy but it is worth it. Whilst waiting we were entertained by Byron -... More

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night on the way down from Cape York. We stayed in a cabin for $150 as we were over tenting it! Fantastic, clean room with small but tidy bathroom. On our doorstep we had the Wallaby enclosure which was very beautiful :) such lovely wildlife around the place in which I believe... More

OK I didn't stay here - I dropped in for food. However the wildlife areas really put me off. I'm not qualified in animal welfare but just looking at the areas the animals are in deeply saddened me. Zoos used to be like this but then tried to do more for the animals. I realise this is a snapshot and... More

My husband and I stayed up in Cape Trib for a week and went to a variety of different restaurants and cafes during that time but Lync-haven was by far our favourite experience. The food was phenomenal at a decent price. The portions are huge, the food was fresh with good quality ingredients. On top of that, the dishes we... More

Animals galore, crock and wallaby feeding free and the best location. Rescued snakes and. Tarantula inside and birds everywhere outside. The Cassowary also has daily visits. Justin our host, his wife and kids are fabulous and the food at the restaurant is well priced, delicious and servings large. Rainforest trails are excellent and fed fish and turtles in the boardwalk.... More

We stayed here on July 9th, I suppose it's peak season and crowded. The staff were kind and friendly but overwhelmed. At first they couldn't find a record of my online reservation or that I had already paid. Then we sat waiting for over an hour after ordering dinner before anything was served. They apologized but they need more kitchen... More

We rang L-H requesting a room that night and the staff member was extremely helpful on the phone and even took the time to talk through the menu. This excellent and patient service continued throughout our stay, which ended up being 3 nights, and we wished could have been for longer! A family-run retreat with the owners' personal menagerie of... More

Ate here 2 of 3 nights we stayed in Daintree. Good counter meals, excellent service and value for money. Beautiful setting. Saw 2 cassowaries while we were there in the garden! Would definitely go back.
