We usually stayed in a large room #20 upstairs at the back. This time they put us in #1 downstairs at the front. This room smelt musty/smokey and furniture was very tired,no door to the kitchen cupboard. Bed was comfy though

First of all the rooms are way crappier than the picture. We asked for an adjoining room and they booked 2 seperate, and the only reason why we booked here was because of the adjoining room The positive - excellent location

We went to the Rolling Stones at the Mt Smart stadium. The motel is a shore drive from there and after the concert it was an easy drive back home. With all of the traffic it only took 15 mins. Staff are very friendly and the ajoining room with our frieds was great as we could leave the door open... More

Our first impressions weren't good - the receptionist on duty didn't seem to understand me. On arrival in the room which was a deluxe room, I felt we had been given the wrong room. On checking the specs on the web I realised it was the correct room. The conditions of cupboard doors was poor and looked more like kitchen... More

Great motel. Friendly staff, quiet but handy to City. We stayed here when we going to the Stones at Mt Smart. Easy to get there and back. Would recommend to families, couples or business travelers. Handy to motorway and public transport.

Stayed here while working in Auckland. Convenient location for budget conscious. Large units, tidy but well in need of repair, particularly the bathroom and power switches. Quite considering its proximity to Great South Road. Kitchen facilities basic.

Tidy and clean room, spacious and in a good location. I wouldn't have said there is anything overly flashy about this place but it had everything we needed at a reasonable price and, most importantly to us, had no problems with us bringing our small dog. I would have no issues staying here again.

Good location, would not be my first pick but other locations all booked up. Room was a bit tired but clean,a few lights did not work. The bed was comfortable and not much noise from the road. Would stay again if company booked me in but not my first choice. Reception was pleasant and helpful, good off street parking and... More

We were tired when we rolled into Auckland, and it was getting late, so we appreciated the warm welcome at the Royal Park Lodge. The owners really bent over backwards to meet our needs. In the end we received two single rooms for the price of a suite, and could use the adjoining rooms like an apartment. Because we stayed... More
