For 45 I've fished all over Canada and have stayed at over 50 Lodges. Chaudiere is by far the best. From the Management (Steve/Cole) to the entire staff they are tops. For my wife to for-go the beach for Chaudiere is a testimonial in it's self. The only down-side is when we have to leave. If you haven't been there,... More

In early August of 2014 my Wife Kelly and I stayed in the Look-out cabin at Chaudiere Lodge for a week. We rented the Princecraft, fully rigged for fishing, since that was the main theme of our visit. Steve told us the Muskey is "the fish of ten thousand casts". With Steve advice (and a lure he loaned me), we... More

I just got back from a week long relaxing wilderness getaway, and what an amazing experience it was! To be greeted at the Dokis marina by a friendly Chaudier staff member who was more than happy to give me a tour before getting to the lodge was my first of many extra touches I received during my stay at Chaudier... I arrived in Ontario from Brisbane, Australia looking for a Canadian 'wilderness' and fishing experience and that's what I got staying at the Chaudiere Lodge. The accommodation was just right, comfortable and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We opted for the self catering package but the friendly staff were more than happy to help us out with anything we may have... More

My three sons, husband, 80 year old Mom and I spent a relaxing, wonderful week at Chaudiere during the last week of August. We hadn't been on a "complete family vacation" in quite a few years and I was hoping to find a place that would make everyone happy. We loved Chaudiere from the start! Danny, "the dock master", picked... More

This is not a slogan. The owner and the staff actually live, eat and breathe it. All of the other recommendations say the same thing. The fishing guide was so good, even I caught a monster. I can write a much longer review, but then you would just have to read it.

My stay at Chaudiere Lodge was one of the most relaxing experiences I have had in a long time. The location is beautiful and the lodge is everything one could hope for. The staff seem to really care that you have the best experience possible - from the boat ride from the marina to looking after you in your cottage... More

I really can't add a lot more to the other five-star reviews of Chaudiere Lodge. We spent a week during in mid August and could not have been more pleased. The staff, including owner Steve and manager Cole along with all the other great employees, did an exceptional job at making our stay enjoyable. Some recommendations: bring insect repellant. While... Just returned from our third trip to this lodge today..(2011, 2012, 2014) Words cannot describe the wonderful experience!...I have gone with my teenage son each trip, as well as my 80 year old father on a previous occasion. This weekend my 17 year old son, 21 year old nephew and I spent the weekend. Steve and his staff continue to... More

Background - we are a family with 2 young girls, with no fishing experience. We booked this trip as a way to introduce our kids to fishing, and we could not have made a better choice. On the surface it's rustic cabins on a island. In reality it's a full service hotel that attends to every detail, with better service... More
