A large group of cyclists stayed at Lochinvar for th wekend. The maagers, Lyn &Jim were really helpful and prepared a good breakfast each morning. While the house is needing some TLC there ismuch to appreciate in the beauty of the old house, wonderful view over the dam as the sun sets in the evening and the peaceful location is... More

Just revisited Lochinvar house with 15 cycling friends this weekend. Very pleased that it is as good as I remembered, particularly after reading a bad review recently. A charming old heritage house that was a perfect base for our cycling weekend, the new hosts Lynn and Jim really looked after us and the house is fantastic.

We stayed at the B&B recently for 2 nights. The service was absolutely great. Our hosts were really friendly and we're delighted to help us when we requested. The house was really clean, and it had a great view! It is really historic, and was just so amazing to see the building from the outside. There was also a pool/billiards... More

A new experience to an asian like me. Not the commercial type as hilton hk, mandarin hotel hk. etc. It is traditional and very relax, big rooms.Good services. If you like the green cottage, it must be the first choice in the area. I am sure will be back!

This B&B was once a magnificent homestead but sadly the buildings and gardens are now in such a poor state of repair they're bordering dilapidation. The interior of the building was also run down and desperately in need of a clean. Furniture was covered in dust and cobwebs abound everywhere. Several of the rooms contained unmade beds. Family using another... More

That's what I said to my partner when we arrived at the property. He tricked me saying we were going to explore a scenery as we drove up. As soon as the property was in full view, I thought that was where I would love to stay for the night. The view was like a hidden treasure, calm and private.... More

This beautiful old home is authentically furnished providing a real step back into a bygone era. There is a real, lived farm experience feel about the place. The four poster bed was divine and on a midwinter evening we were very snug and warm. Our charming hosts, Dannie and Nicko, stoked up the open fire in the lounge room. Stunning... More

After a long day spent lunching in the Hunter it was fantastic to kick back in such a beautiful setting at Lochinvar House and drink in the atmosphere and the view. The bedroom was a good size and comfortable with period furniture and access to the verandah with its view of the Loch being a bonus. The hosts were welcoming... More

Enjoyed our stay at end of April. Fantastic rural and lake (loch) scenery, rooms are spacious, well kept and nicely furnished. Hosts were lovely, with right balance of assistance/distance, really knowledgeable about the property's history and local area and wildlife. Highly recommended

We stayed in the 1840's servants quaters for one night. Although we were only there briefly as we were at a wedding the afternoon/night and left the following morning, I would love to go back and spend a few days. Sam was very friendly and welcoming. A lovely quiet, serene location close to Hunter and Lochinvar.
