Booked for my son to stay here prior to playing in a golf event in St Andrews. He was leaving before breakfast time and I emailed reception (as an afterthought at 10.30pm) to ask if they could do a packed breakfast. Steven replied promptly - absolutely no problem to do this, and would be ready for 6.45 am. Very polite... More

It is not necessary to pay the huge premium to stay in St Andrews when you have options like this 15 minutes away. The staff were fantastic and the meals excellent. We had a great time chatting to the manger about all things Scotland. Menu has all of the Scottish delicacies and we tried them all. Breakfast was first rate.... More

We stayed here because it was the best price we could find with the best reviews near St. Andrews. Rooms are a bit run down and in need of some renovation, but it's a lovely and quiet location. There's not a lot to do or eat within a 5 mile radius, but St. Andrews is just a 15-20 minute drive.... More

My partner and I decided to visit last Sunday for a meal while we were out for the day, we ate in the bar. The service was appalling, there was no "please enjoy your meal" or "can I get you anything else" When our plates were cleared we didn't even get a "was everything ok" The outdoor seating area was... Stayed here overnight on Sat 24th May 2014. Me and 5 friends were booked up for bed and breakfast and 2 rounds of golf. All staff were lovely and friendly, rooms were spotless, shower was fantastic, bar was reasonably priced. All in all it was great accommodation. Golf course was also in great condition and again, the staff on the... More

Evening meal, good choice and tasty. Breakfast adequate and plentiful. Room clean and comfortable. Bar closed too early. Staff pleasant and helpful when you could find one. Course staff excellent, would go back anytime as it was value for money

This was just a one night stay, with my golf obsessed USA guest and myself determined to play St Andrews 'Old Course', to satisfy his 'bucket list'. Drumoig Hotel is just 8 miles away, and a fraction of the cost of those nearer the holy grail course - just 15 minutes drive. To have a chance to play the Old... More

We were in a crowd of 12 having a golf weekend as we do every year. Most went for the Sat and Sunday nights but 4 of us had the Friday off so booked an extra night. The room was clean , tidy and spacious. On arrival we were advised the bar closed at 930 that night ? So we went... More

We stayed at the hotel overnight when attending a party in St Andrews. The room was basic but clean and bright. It was noisy and the part we were in seemed to be populated by men possibly on a stag do or group holiday. This made for a disturbed night's sleep. Breakfast was really poor and the buffet containers were... More

We stayed here Friday and Saturday nights in an upper level lodge room next to the hotel. The room was a good size, had lots of storage space, was warm and clean. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were complimentary and replaced each day. The en suite bathroom was well fitted. Loads of hot water, toiletries and a good shower... More
