The suite my wife had booked for us was very nice indeed. Comfortable bed, luxurious sofa and a 42" TV. The bathroom was a complete wet room with walk in shower and a stand alone bath. The food in the red lion attached to the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was a choice off three menus, but the staff were happy... More

We had the Heath suite for 2 nights at £450 in total. It was a huuuuge room but felt very empty and sparse not made cosy or homely. Also too dark, 2 lamps not working and just not enough light to dress/do makeup. Even in bathroom. Bath good size but not enough hot water first night (basics!) and bulb above... More

A one night stay at this boutique hotel with dinner and breakfast was simply perfect. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the bedrooms are furnished with the finest touches and overlooking the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. The restaurant was busy however the staff seemed very well organised to cope under the supervision of an excellent Manager - Graham. Whilst one or... More

Just had a weekend at this lovely hotel, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment, it has everything you will need, large rooms, large beds, bath and shower, iron, tea and coffee making facilities, very clean, etc etc. my only reservation was the pub attached to it, which again is very smart etc, but the portions in the restaurant are very... Just outside Chesterfield is this Boutique hotel, elegant, classy like a real Lady waiting for its guests. I chose this for an overnight stay for a respite from our stays in B and B's. I made an excellent choice. The outside of the building is nothing special but when you enter, the reception is spacious and sleek. Customer service is... More

We've stayed here twice now and the first time was no fluke. Accommodation, staff and breakfast all excellent, not to mention a fantastic meal at The Red Lion both times. Stay here if you can, you will not be disappointed.

This place is faultless from the elegant scented reception to the personal service to the beautifully appointed rooms . Comfort , peace and quiet and a warm welcome and lovely food in the adjoining Red Lion. Exceptional value too . All this and a view over the Peak District.

Travelling back from Sheffield and heading for Matlock, we stumbled across The Peak Edge Hotel. It isn't anything overly attractive to look at from the outside and it sits behind the Red Lion, it is however, bright, clean, and wonderfully placed for the Peak District. We stayed for one night and were lucky enough to have the Bridal Suite, tee... More

I spent the night at the Peak Edge this week whilst on a business trip nearby. My room (107) was beautiful, large, clean and with the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in. The bathroom had a rainfall walk in shower with excellent pressure - I could have stayed under it for hours. We ate in the... More
