You find "rorbuer" all over Lofoten. Why should you pick Nyvaagar. Well. It is pricy, but then a gain, it has high standard. It is surrounded by steep mountains and open waters. You can get your hot sauna and jump directly out in the cold sea. A great starting point for your Lofoten experience!

We stayed at Nyvagar 4 nights in total – in cabin's 18 and 14, directly on the water. Very nice style with a special charm. We were fortunate enough to see the nordic lights 2x directly from the living room, an amazing experience. For our daughter of 2 there was a small playground, and with the aquarium just a few meters... More

I've been here for just 1 and a half days, I fell in love with the place. The view is amazing, saw the northern lights in the first day from the terrace and I ran my morning run through the most amazing scenery. The WiFi is working fine, the main attractions of the area are in walking distance and there... More

This was the first rorbuer we stayed at in Lofoten. Its a couple of hours drive from the Evenes airport. If you arrive after hours, they will leave you keys and info in a green box outside the lobby. You can also call them if needed. Serene location. Most rorbuer look out on to the water. There are some inside... More

We were in a bus trip during our Lofoten cruise, and had lunch in this enchanting building, looking the wonderful panorama. The food was excellent, a huge buffet with every sort of typical Norwegian dishes, we liked especially saumon fish and "bacalao".

Loosely based on the historic Rorbu (Fishermen’s cottage) that was in use for centuries, these cottages offers modern accommodation with a historic angle. The sea and the mountains that surround the hotel are absolutely stunning. Nice breakfast, good service and easy to find makes this hotel a favorite. Close to the Lofoten museum, the Espolin Art Gallery and the Lofoten... More

This is my fifth visit to Norway and having stayed at numerous hotels I have to conclude that Norwegian hoteliers simply don't grasp the concept of hospitality. I've yet to rate a Norwegian hotel with more than 3/5 and from four hotels on this trip the trend continues. Don't get me wrong, Norway is a stunningly beautiful country and the... More

Pro’s Reception staff very friendly and supportive. The fisherman’s cabin we rented was comfortable, had a great view to the sea and the mountains. The rooms upstairs were nice, each with two single beds that could be also placed together and become double beds. Con’s The reception closes at some moment in time, I had to call a number to... Our family of 3 stayed one night at this wonderful Rorbuer. We LOVE every aspect of our stay. We arrived after their business hours so they left us a huge yellow envelope containing our room key, several pages of helpful information on the activities to do and maps of the town. How thoughtful!! The surrounding is simply out of this... More

We stayed here two nights while traveling with a large family group of 11 (6 adults and 5 children) through the Lofoten Islands. We stayed in three two-bedroom, two-story cabins. All three of them were nice and clean. We also found them to be more spacious than expected- especially by European standards. The location is great and the scenery is... More
