Stayed here 2 days in xmas Staff was very service minded, on xmas eve I had check in 16:00 (pretty late check in for a hotel room) but got it a couple of hours earlier. I have stayed 2 days during xmas on another hotel at Geilo before and this was not an upgrade. Interior need a little refresh thats... More

Though the hotel is not new, it should not put you down. It has soul, the service is good and friendly, the food great and the access to skiing superb. The conference facilities are surprisingly good and the bar, dance and lounge area invites to socialising after a long day. Definitely recommend the place!

We've been to the hotel for years as a company get together. You can put your cross country skies on right outside and go off, you can hike in the summer and it isn't that far to the lifts either if alpine is more your skiing style. They have rooms of all sizes. I've up though the years had all... More

This hotel gave the feel of a ski-lodge rather a hotel, although the stop-over was quite adequate and the staff helpful. Not much directly outside the hotel except a walk by the curtsied which is pleasant. The dinner meal was very nice and breakfast the next day was good.

When we were allotted the base level room it appeared as if it was robbed. Very small room, no pen, pencil, pad, mirror, toiletries, water, fridge, cookies, slippers, iron, and the view from the window is nothing but dirt cigarette butts. Please check the room before signing the dotted line. If you are prepared to shell out extra cash, then,... More

After a flight from Gatwick and a long train trip from Oslo, we were delighted to be picked up from the train station by a very friendly member of staff from the hotel. The room was big, and I'm still seeking ways to make my bed as comfy as theirs, but the floor was very scratched, scraped and damaged and... More

We were a group of 6 couples, old friends for the last 50 years, and we stopped here for lunch driving from Oslo to Ulvik; wish we had stayed overnight here. The lunch was sumptuous; even satisfying the difficult Indian palate. But the best part was the coffee in the lounge after the meal. Wood panelled with comfortable sofas, this... More

We stooped at this hotel not to stay but to eat lunch. He hotel is located in the beautiful resort town of Geilo. The outside of the hotel looks fantastic, and the lobby area is beautifully decorated with wood carvings and antiques. Great atmosphere. The lunch buffet was excellent. The staff was attentive and very pleasant. The choices were nicely... More

The hotel is typical for one which is in the middle of a ski-resort, all you need to enjoy a holiday, a bit outdated, a bit 1970's but very nice rooms even big, however don't know why Norwegians don't understand the difference between double bed and french bed, what a shame!

We stayed here as part of a tour so it was arranged for us. Based in Geilo which is a ski town there is nothing to do in summer so don't expect much if you go then! However that's not the hotels fault and the staff were really very helpful. The room was large, we were on ground floor with... More
