First ski trip for our two boys aged 9 & 12, and our first trip to Norway. We have been to various ski resorts in France and Austria and this hotel was up there or better than the best Austrian hotels for ambience, with a welcoming relaxed atmosphere much preferable to Dr Holm's which we had a look in. The... More

Although the hotel could have updated their rooms and part of the furniture, is ito a nice and cozy mountain hotel. The food served is very good and always fresh bread. The service at the hotel is very good and they are very accommodating no matter what time of day. They have cabins that are nice and big which is close... More

The hotel is located at the middle of the road between Bergen and Oslo, thus a lot of touristic buses are staying for the night at that place. The place is very old, unclean ( first time I see dirty place in Norway). The furniture is outdated and very-very old. The rooms are very small with corridors designed for slim... More

Hotel is fine, good base for visting the Hardangervidda. We had a large and clean room (though quite outdated). As pointed out by other reviewers, two downsides: 1) hotel is noisy. We woke up due to lots of noise in early morning (buses with groups visit the large hotel and leave early) 2) service is bad. Reception was understaffed (one... More

We ordered 1 double and 1 twin rooms. But two rooms were the same - TWINs. Double bed it's NOT two single beds staying together, it's ONE double bed. Furniture was old, but it was clean.Walls are not soundproof and we heard noises from the next room. Employees were attentive and welcoming. Hotel has a good indoor pool, a nice... More

We made reservation via Otel.com website. The receptionist is not effective. We waited fifteen minutes when two officials spoke with only one customer without referring to us. Treatment was very slow. We got a very old room at the end of the Hotel. We booked double room, they connect two single beds and it was uncomfortable to sleep such as... More

Stayed at this hotel on our self drive tour of Norway. The hotel was very busy with several coach loads of visitors. As a result we got upgraded to a suite. The room was very spacious but rather dated and worn. Despite the hotel being busy the service was good and we enjoyed the breakfast and evening meal.

As we were a quite large group, and we wanted to get a real feeling of being in the mountains we rented one of their cottages. It had 10 beds, and the standard was above expectations. Great pleasure to also have breakfast included. Positively surprised and will definately return. Had all kitchen equipment and comfortable beds, and two bathrooms. Next... More

We spent a weekend at Bardøla in february with the guys from work and their families. Quiet surroundings and ski in (but not "ski out" on snowboard / alpine) possibilities. Meals were good, especially the saturday dinner. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of goods, but not great. No salmon? - we're in Norway! Plus for pool if you... More
