I was told to ask for a room in the new building. But when we arrived I could not tell the difference between the new and old building. This is a very poor town and I guess relative to that, this is a good hotel. The room was modest, two twin beds but not clean. There was a dirty drinking... More

The hotel looks nice from the out side but when you enter the room you see how bad it is. The rooms are big, which is nice but what I can't understand is why every room smell of sewage. We didn't have a strong water pressure in the shower so it was kinda annoying to use it.

This hotel is unusual in many respects. There is no elevator so the porters enthusiastically carry your luggage on their shoulders and the stair well is open air, which didn't ease the smell. Room 426 had the smell of raw sewage and if that is your smell of choice, then I can highly recommend it. When our guide explained this... More

The price of the hotel is reasonable. Big hotel with cheap price, locate in central of the town. Near Bắc Hà temple, Hoàng A Tưởng house.... The room is clean, restaurant is good, but the services of the restaurant's staff is not good. It's look like discrimination people. It's seem they don't want the Vietnamese. When we come there, they're... More

We stayed one night in the hotel and had two rooms with 3 beds each. Rooms were pretty dodgy, pillow sheet was not washed and smelled. Blankets were washed but did not look too clean. You had to wait for 5 minutes for hot water after opening the tap (this was already announced on a sign in the bathroom). Some... More

Newly renovated the hotel is clean, comfortable and in a good location. A few blocks from the market area and on a quiet street it's also near restaurants. We ate on the street  with our driver and guide. 4 of us were stuffed with delicious food and well watered with beer for about $15. Breakfast in the hotel was a... More

We stayed here one nite. The room was totally acceptable. The buffet lunch was tasty and they had north american things on the breakfast table. You don't go here for the view from the room... sleep there and get out of the room and experience the town. Everyone said this was "the" market in Vietnam... they were right. The sunday... More

Having read on the hotel's website that it overlooks the Sunday market we had asked for a room with such a view. the reality is that there are building and trees between the hotel and the market. It is just possible that from the top floor the end of the street with the market is visible but the claim is... More

Where to start? We stayed in the new wing. I can't imagine how depressing the old wing is since this is their best. Dark, depressing rooms. Windows have bigs gaps around them so the cold air blows in. Hair dryer hanging in the shower - who ever heard of that? Thin, thin, small, old grey towels. Power shuts off every... More
