We had only one night at Cong Fu hotel with my friends, the hotel is clean and quiet, the rooms are bright, the staff is warm and friendly. Special thanks to our host, Mr. Tuyen, who took us to a local restaurant with his friends, he offered us the local rice wine and bamboo-pipe tobacco. He was very kind to... More

My rating is based on comparison with hotels within Bac Ha where the town is remote and very basic. Getting qualified-repair work and upgrade is difficult due to its remote location. Their earnings are on Sundays which works out to only 4 days a month. Other than the Sunday market Bac Ha is a quiet small town. The rear higher... More

This hotel must have had great times! However, now it is a business running downhill. Staff seems not interested, bulbs not replaced, towels thin as a sheet of paper. During the week, hotel seems largely unoccupied, hence the cold walls and floors. The second night we couldmove to another room which was warmer. The restaurant - soviet-style - was cold,... More

We moved to this place after being dissatisfied with the Ngan Nga Bac Ha Hotel at 133 (there are two). I'd recommend that you either call ahead, email or show up and negotiate as the prices listed on Agoda and other booking sites are quite inflated. We paid 400,000 dong for our room with breakfast included. Normal price is about... More

Pleasant, clean, simple accommodation overlooking market area good base for exploring the area. Like all local Vietnamese hotel beds it was hard by European standards. Our room at the back was very quiet. As it was a chilly evening we were asked if we would like the room warmed but the air conditioning didn't work properly and was noisy. Very... More

Checked in for one night in a room with large windows overlooking the town with a large comfortable bed. Unfortunately air conditioner didn't work so we had to move rooms and were given a room on the same level at the front of the hotel. Although the room was cooler the bed was rock hard. They must have different beds... More

This hotel covers all your basic needs at this remote location. It has central location, spotlessly clean rooms, decent breakfast (mostly continental European) and adequate travel services. You don't really expext any luxory there, do you ?

For what it is (a stopover for a night or two while visiting the Bac Ha market) it's doable. Though the rooms are VERY basic, the AC works fine, and there's ample hot water and good water pressure (thus, the 3 star rating, rather than 2). Ask for a back room with floor to ceiling window and a market view.... More

We spent one night here on way though. The room was spacious, bed hard (we did find one bed in northern Viet Nam that was not hard!), air cond worked, wi fi OK, clean, incredible window with view BUT it faces east so be aware that you will be woken early and the room becomes unbearably hot by 8.00 am... This hotel is very basic but probably dose not advertise as anything else - the rooms were clean but the beds were hard and breakfast very poor. We had a pre-paid voucher for this hotel and if it hadn't been for our guide we would have ended up having to pay the hotel again as they refused to accept that... More
