Beautiful home so private and quiet, fabulous room, breathtaking setting on the water, and wonderful host and hostess. Best bed and breakfast we have stayed in to date. Lots of helpful information on seeing the area. Breakfast was delicious, fresh cookies each day and help your self to tea or coffee anytime.

Rum Hollow with Jim and Debbie as hosts was the perfect place to start our holiday. It is position perfect on an inlet, so quiet and peaceful. Also easy to reach both Halifax and the south shore villages. Jim is wonderful and full of info for the guests, in fact we followed his advice as we travelled further on through... More

First of all, THANK YOU to Jim and Debbie for making our stay amazing! These guys are perfect! Jim tells funny stories and is very knowledgable about the area. He and Debbie give great recommendations for where to go and what to do in the area. Debbie cooks wonderfully! She was even thoughtful enough to make me french toast without... More

We just finished a delightful week with Jim & Debbie in the wheelchair friendly Landings room overlooking the tranquil St. Margaret's Bay. The house is very modern and well decorated with a spacious room and double sized bathroom equipped with a couples Jacuzzi and full shower. For the first few days, we followed Jim's detailed advice and maps to visit... More

We stayed three nights in the Landings room; large, clean, comfortable, and with a fabulous view of the bay. The whole house is beautiful. Host Jim is very friendly and is super helpful with maps and suggestions for things to see and do. The breakfast was a bit of a weak link; certainly adequate and plentiful, but we would prefer... We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base for our day trips! Friendly and accommodating hosts! Delicious large breakfast to start the day! The setting is gorgeous! We cannot give the room top marks, however since it was quite uncomfortable. No cozy chairs to sit and read or share a bottle of wine at the end of the... More

Jim and Debbie at Rum Hollow are super nice people. Better than that, they operate one of the finest bed and breakfasts we've ever stayed in. About 20 minutes outside Halifax on St. Margaret's Bay, this bed and breakfast has it all: comfortable rooms, great food, beautiful views of the bay, and wonderful hosts. Don't miss this one if you're... More
