We stayed here recently for a couple of nights. The site is lovely and quiet. There are some nice touches such as the honesty shop which was certainly helpful for novices trying their hand at setting a camp fire. The facilities were clean and it was lovely to be able to make a cuppa and sit in the common room... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay here. Although we met lovely people and the children enjoyed the play area, the thing that clouded our visit was the inadequate shower block. 3 loos and 3 showers (which stopped half way through showering) was just not enough for the volume of people there. There are approx 25 pitches which... More

We visited this site a few years ago, it was really lovely and I have great memories. A group of us visited for 2 nights after I suggested it to friends. Sadly we have no plans to return and my friends were less than impressed. The site, when full, now has far too many pitches for its facilities. The field... More

Dear Henn. I am very sad to read your comments but try to learn from everyone's experience here in order to keep improving standards. This year we have marked out generous sized pitches that allow for one tent and one car. If an extra car is brought, then it is parked along the fence in the first field as you... More

My 11yr old grandson and I camped for three nights and had a really good time. We were welcomed and shown to our very generous plot. We loved the fact every plot has a fire pit. Toasting marshmallows, crumpets and cooking on it was a real delight. There were quite a few wasps but Tina the owner had someone hunting... More

Thank you for your kind comments. We have this year 'marked' out generous size plots and I think this has been successful. There should be enough room for a good sized tent and a car and there are firepits on each pitch. The wasp situation has been challenging but I understand that many venues - including cafes and pubs -... More

We haven't camped for a few years now but were pleasantly surprised by the facilities at Brick Kiln. Fantastic to have a fridge/freezer. Proper washing up facilities, a sitting room and a small kitchen equipped with cups/plates etc which is just so handy when you realise you forgot something. Even better a kettle which meant by early morning tea wasn't... More

Thank you Brenda for your kind comments. I only want my guest to feel happy and comfortable here and work hard to ensure that this is how (most) feel. I bought a bigger fridge freezer this year - but it is still not big enough at times. I also have, a microwave that has been popular especially for families with... More

Spent 4 nights here and explored some lovely National Trust properties nearby. A really good base. Very friendly service from Tina. Good self-check-in system. Good facilities: clean hot showers. Though more than 3 loos and showers would be useful. Kitchen with kettle, fridge/freezer, microwave and some crockery etc. Board games to loan. Access to electric socket for charging devices. Free... Thank you Maz for your review. We have worked hard on ensuring that the self check -in system is easy to use although we are constantly monitoring the situation. I am glad to hear also that you had good hot water since I had a new system installed earlier this year. The children all love the trampoline and this is... More

This is a great campsite that offers good size plots, very safe and quiet. The children's play area complete with wendy house and a large trampoline is very popular. The common room has plenty of plates, cutlery etc to loan incase you forget anything. Also there are some rainy day activities for communal use, table tennis and colouring books etc.... More

Thank you Jennifer for your kind comments. I am just in the process of re-stocking the marshmallows again! I have also observed that children really love to draw - and when there is no paper, they draw on the table! But that is not a criticism. Am now going to buy a large box of paper and pens. Do come... I spent two nights with my husband, teenage daughter and two dogs at this wonderful site last week. It was our first camping experience as a family but it won't be our last. The owners were so helpful when we were booking and the site far exceeded our expectations. It was quite busy, being in the middle of the school... More

Just returned from a one week camping trip at Brick Kiln Farm, with our two young boys and family. As per other reviewers I'd agree that the site is great for a camping trip with young children, who can play on the trampoline and in the play area within sight of your tent, so the campsite feels quite safe. The... More
