Rooms are basic at best, ordered dinner, they forgot and gave me chips! Reordered a different dinner and they gave me the wrong dinner! Oh they smile when it's wrong but they don't fix it! A sports bar that doesn't like to show football. Book if you're desperate

Don't come here if you have a family under 18. Due to the bizzare licensing they have, under 18's are not allowed in the bar area were the pool table, darts, TV's & other pub games are. There is a small notice at the entrance of the restaurant but not at the bar entrance which is directly connected to the... More

Stayed two nights, was everything it said, food was okay as well, would stay again when in the area, only real drawback is you need a car as nothing is walkable locally.place is clean, well kept even if a bit dated, quiet and a good nights sleep

It really is an experience to visit Potters, the view, the setting, the tranquillity and the total relaxation felt. The inside is large and very dated but that lends an ambiance to the place, it is clean and well laid out with a well stocked bar and very pleasant staff. The food is pub/bar food but that said it is... More

Stopped here overnight on Aug 22 after attending a wedding. Easy to find, I was pleasantly surprised by the setting, see photo, backing onto the Basingstoke canal. Hassle free booking in, the friendly landlady found my booking straight away and even tho I'd arrived 3hours before the official time to book in, I was allowed to proceed. I had booked... More

So my company paid around 50 a night and I would be annoyed had a I payed 20. The rooms are so aged, the walls are showing bare plaster in places and the rooms have a musky old stale smell. The bar/restaurant is extremely dated and is really just a dirty old pub. The food is microwaved or deep fried.... More

After a journey from hell taking 7 hours from North Yorkshire, Potters Inn, Mytchett was a very pleasant respite. Just like my review from Tenerife, don't expect posh furniture when paying such prices, but what the hell. The staff were very friendly, the lodges were a stroll from the large bar/restaurant (which was reasonably priced) and you can sit out... More

The staff are lovely , in the bar and restaurant. It is very dated , a blast from the 80's , but there is something quite charming about it. The outside is run down in places , which is a shame because it is so peaceful and in a beautiful position on the river. The food is fine , good breakfast... More

Grubby and filthy. I've stayed in two rooms over consecutive nights. They need to sack theirs cleaners and appoint new ones. They need to sack their maintenance crew and appoint new ones. This could so easily be a very nice and respectable establishment but it's so very very not. Exceedingly poor. Be warned; the other tenants are likely to be... More
