So my company paid around 50 a night and I would be annoyed had a I payed 20. The rooms are so aged, the walls are showing bare plaster in places and the rooms have a musky old stale smell. The bar/restaurant is extremely dated and is really just a dirty old pub. The food is microwaved or deep fried.... More

After a journey from hell taking 7 hours from North Yorkshire, Potters Inn, Mytchett was a very pleasant respite. Just like my review from Tenerife, don't expect posh furniture when paying such prices, but what the hell. The staff were very friendly, the lodges were a stroll from the large bar/restaurant (which was reasonably priced) and you can sit out... More

The staff are lovely , in the bar and restaurant. It is very dated , a blast from the 80's , but there is something quite charming about it. The outside is run down in places , which is a shame because it is so peaceful and in a beautiful position on the river. The food is fine , good breakfast... More

Grubby and filthy. I've stayed in two rooms over consecutive nights. They need to sack theirs cleaners and appoint new ones. They need to sack their maintenance crew and appoint new ones. This could so easily be a very nice and respectable establishment but it's so very very not. Exceedingly poor. Be warned; the other tenants are likely to be... More

Check in was at the bar, i was informed about the dinner and breakfast times. Room was dated and dusty. Bed was ok. Noise from road disturbed me during the night. Breakfast - Now lets talk about this. I left my room at 7.10am to find the entire place locked up. I walked the whole site to find not a... More

8 of us dined here for Mother's Day. Our overall experience was not good - more like Faulty Towers. We had a laugh about it. I booked a table ahead for 6 and asked for a window table overlooking the canal. I rang on the morning and asked it was possible to add an additional 2 people - I was... More

I took my old dad for his 70th birthday to the darts finals and we chose this hotel to stay in over the weekend. Unfortunately we had an absolute nightmare experience at this place. The bar area and car park was full of teenage lads, certainly not a place for families or anyone over the age of 30. There was... More

Picturesque pub on the banks of the Basingstoke canal. Popular in summer potters offers a blend of good dining in a very relaxing environment. Prices are reasonable. The inn has pool and darts & plenty of tv's for live sports etc. The accommodation looks decent which is across the car park type motel. Overall a good place to visit at... More

We booked for Sunday lunch and found the food pretty good but the restaurant was so cold we had to eat with our coats on. There was no atmosphere at all. A little Christmas music would have helped. We were the only people in the place which says it all. Could be a good place to eat but needs a... More
