I stayed here the other Sunday night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was ok, but the breakfast in the morning was the highlight of my stay, looking forward to my next stay this coming Monday night.

We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. Very interesting place, looks like it used to be a church but in fact has always been a hostelries. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner both nights the food was good and plentiful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Some brilliant walks from there go up... More

My friend and I booked a self catering cottage for a week recently when we toured on our motor bikes. The Hostelrie was the nearest place to get food and a drink so we walked up there. What a pleasant surprise. We were warmly welcomed as if we were locals and the whole atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is... More

Stayed here for one night on route to South Wales and will be back. The building is impressive and the bar clean and comfortable and in keeping with an old building. Beer garden is a great place to sit and chill with a local beer or Cider and just enjoy the silence punctuated with the occasional bit of bird song.... More

We ate at The Hostelrie on two occasions whilst staying at a local B & B. The food was superb both times - freshly cooked to order and completely to our liking. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much bother. Full marks to Andy who so kindly gave us a lift back to our B & B... More

we stayed this weekend and found the staff to be very attentive and the steak one of the best ever eaten But the room was in need of a makeover, especially the bathroom, and the mattress should be replaced immediately - so uncomfortable and lumpy

Nicola, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We appreciate your feedback on the bed and we have ordered a new mattress for the room you stayed in. In the near future we are planning on refurbishing a number of the rooms to bring them up to date. We are so glad you enjoyed... More

Very quaint hotel creeking floor boards added to the charm, nice size twin clean quiet and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. beware if you are unsteady on your legs as twists and turns on stairs to rooms, but loved it anyway. would rebook.

We were staying close by at a rented property, but on four occasions during our week we visited this great hotel, had great food, were welcomed by the locals and included in a quiz evening. We had our baby granddaughter with us in a pram, but the staff made us comfortable and not at all a nuisance. Andy was sensational,... More

This is an interesting hotel in the village of Goodrich very close to Goodrich Castle. It has a pretty garden where kids can play safely and has a bar and restaurant. Our room was a bit small as was the tv on the wall but the bed was very comfortable so we got a good night's sleep. The breakfast was... More

We had a wonderful lunch with friends here today on our way back from a Landrover driving morning in Eastnor Castle. My starter was a parfait with home made bread toasted and a lovely chutney. Then I had an amazing chicken ceaser salad that was perfect. My son had a steak which he loved and my husband a fantastic burger.... More
