We stayed here for one night and wished we had booked longer. Everything was amazing - the yurts, the lodge, the dinner, the homemade waffles, the view - above all the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. It seemed like every staff person was the owner - they couldn't do enough for you. We'll be back as soon as we... More

This is a great place to spend some time if you want to experience nature at it's best. We stayed in number 16 and it had a great view of the ocean. Bed was wonderful, fireplace was a must have. The bathroom was a short hike up the hill but everything is a trade off. This one and number 15... More

We yurted for one night Oct 16th and absolutely LOVED Treebones. The yurts are so cozy and decorated just absolutely perfect. Great comfy beds, and WARM as can be. Our night was rather windy and a bit chilly, but the radiators provided really heat up the room, and the down comforters did a great job as well. I woke up... More

We stayed at Treebones overnight on our way to San Francisco and it was a unique experience. We recieved a very warm welcome and were shown to our Yurt (13 - as recommended on Trip Advisor!). It is very difficult to describe just how luxurious the yurt is - very spacious, beautifully clean, comfortable beds, a fire and a balcony... More

We loved the peace and quiet, fireplaces, yurts, big sky, stars, whales blowing, sea lion's calling soooo much that we posted our pics on our website for our friends... http://www.gjlenterprise.com/Gary%20&%20Julie's%20Anniversary%20Treebones%20Vacation.html This is a "do not miss" part of California's coast and history; just extraordinary. --Julie

We stayed at Treebones for five nights in mid September, and did not experience the "wild children" problems which other reviewers complained of - perhaps they had all gone back to school. Or has the management policy changed to disallow younger children? We found the staff exceptionally helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, with "mine host" particularly attentive and informative,... More

I stayed at the Treebones for a couple of nights with my now Fiance (I asked her to marry me in our Yurt!!) We had an amazing time there and it will always be a special place. The food was simple but good, the customer service was fantastic and the spa was lovely and hot. This is posh camping, you... More

We really liked Treebones. Everyone was friendly, the yurts were great, good customer service, etc. We ate dinner there 2 nights - nothing fancy, just like a cookout, but it hits the spot after you've been travelling and eating out to have a "homestyle meal". It is still rustic - i.e. you have to walk to the bathrooms - but... More

First of all, Treebones is not in Big Sur, it is in Gorda, which is some way to the south down highway 1. It does overlook the Big Sur coast, in an absolutely beautiful setting on the hill. The yurts are very comfortable with Ikea furnishings - we had yurt 13, which is the biggest and had possibly the best,... More

The staff at this resort is awesome!! They are so nice and are all completely committed to the guests having a wonderful time. They are the best and the most friendly and caring staff I have ever experienced at any hotel worldwide. We had a problem there in that there was this super noisy and rude large family group, both...
