We stayed at Treebones for two nights in early July 2006. The setting was fantastic. From our full ocean view yurt we could see the sun set over the Pacific and listen to sea lions barking . The skylight in the yurt allowed us to view countless stars in the evening. The location of the complex is certainly secluded. There... More

We stayed at Treebones for 2 nights as we traveled California for our honeymoon. I cannot say enough great things about this place. Not only is it such a unique, beautiful, romantic setting, but the staff was soooooo welcoming and nice! We had an amazing view (we stayed in Yurt #9). Breakfast each morning was also great. You can make... More

We had been trying to reserve a yurt for 3 months without success. But we went back to Big Sur for a day trip and decided to call Treebones to see if they had any openings. They did! A CBS film crew was in one of the yurts filming for a travel program. We would have to wait until 7,... More

Treebones is a wonderful place to stay for anyone who doesn't mind luxurious "roughing it". It started raining as we were unloading our car but our consolation was a beautiful rainbow! After checking in, you & your luggage are taken to your yurt in a golf cart. After unloading, you park your car down the hill from the yurts. The... More

We just got back from a week in Big Sur and Treebones was our favorite. It was more comfortable than the other lodges and cabins we stayed at in the area. I can't say enough about the property or the friendly staff, especially Pete. It is like camping, but not really, and all you need to bring is a swimsuit... More

We had a fabulous Time at Tree Bones Resort. Its just like camping but so much better. The bathrooms are heated and clean, the restaurant is walking distance and they even served a vegetarian meal for my husband and I two nights in a row. the meal was a bit expensive but not for the convenience, service or taste. The... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Treebones in June, and it was the perfect place for us. It was my first time to Big Sur, and I cannot even begin to describe the breathtaking views the area offers. We wanted to stay at a place that would keep us close to nature, but provide more amenities than camping. Treebones was... More

My wife and I stayed at Treebones for two nights. We arrived not really knowing what to expect but were immediately put at ease by the friendly and very helpful staff. The site has a very relaxed atmosphere and we were immediately able to enjoy ourselves. It was our first stay in a Yurt and we were not disappointed. For... More

Four of us travelled along highway one between LA and San Francisco and stayed at Treebones Resort on the second night. This place has an amazing position right on the side of the cliff overlooking the sea. We stayed in Yurts 10 and 16 and I'd definitely recommend both. 16 has better views and is out by itself which is... More

Live in the L.A. metro area and want a unique getaway? My husband and two children, eleven and fifteen, took advantage of a few days off. We had a very relaxing and adventurous trip. Treebones is a unique resort. We arrived a few minutes before eleven on a Friday night. "Pete", waited up for us. The staff were all very... More
