Yes, it was the most beautiful view from our cabin(#9), the food (fish & chips) was definitely not worth the price, the breakfast was good, and we slept well. One night, though, for the price, is enough.

A wonderful spot for nature-lovers and those who appreciate quiet. The "cabins," perched on a cliff, look out across the water to a distant mountainous peninsula. The cabins, which are actually little houses or rooms, are close together but are detached or semi-detached. They have a rustic feel, consistent with their origins in the 1930s and 1950s, but they are... More

We stopped in July on our way to LA, we paid $300 for room 10 which is right at the edge. Can't fault the view, amazing. Peaceful and quaint. Bathroom very small and rooms are ok, nothing special. When we checked in we were greeted by a woman in the shop, no greeting just here is your key, please sign... More

We stayed in Cabin #9 based on all the glowing reviews - now going back through the reviews, I'm really surprised that people are so forgiving of the accomodations, just because of the "view"! Yes, great view, but you get the same view from many pullovers along Hgwy1 - have a nice bottle along w/ you and have your glass... More

I had high hopes from the reviews I had read so it was very disappointing. There was no warm greeting from the gal we checked in with - she was way too busy nor from the woman who took the keys at the end - not even a "thanks and come back and see us again" or "how was your... More

I was apprehensive after reading numerous reviews that this lodge was over-priced and you should only stay in cabins #7-10. Well, we stayed in #2 and found it to be quite nice. Yes, it was pricey, but it was perfect for us: Minimalist in a very modern, spotless way. The original cabins did look really nice, but we arrived late... More

We stayed at the Lucia Lodge as part of a road trip along Highway 1. I had read the reviews and was expecting an idyllic lodge and was really looking forward to it. The views absolutely tick every point, it was stunning and we spent many a happy hour with a beer and the binoculars otter spotting from the amazing... More

We decided on a trip up the coast with the top down on the Porsche for our 25th wedding anniversary. Our time at Lucia Lodge was perfect. Breathtaking views from our cliffside room. Nothing to do but sip wine, look at the ocean, and enjoy time alone. Tip: Hike around the grounds and enjoy the wildflowers in bloom. The facility,... More

Breathtaking in it's proximity to the incredible california coast. Wake up to waves crashing. Charming because it is simple and rustic. You feel you are with nature when you are here. The restaurent up the road had great food for dinner. Loved it. There are cabins closest to the water. That is where you should stay.

Get one of the original cabins # 7-10. Views were amazing, the room was attractive, clean and comfortable (nice bed). We were there in the off-season and paid $150. If you don't get good weather then I could see how it would be a disappointment. The restaurant at Lucia is attractive but the food is average and the prices are... More
