We stayed one night in cabin 10 (closest to the point). Was it pricey ?-- yes Was it worth it ?--ABSOLUTELY!!!!! As has been said before... no phone, no TV, no internet. just the crashing of the surf three hundred feet below. This is not the Hilton. It is far better.

We stayed in cabin 9 for a one night stop over. The cabin was a good size, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small and old but it was fine for us. The location is excellent. We were fortunate to arrive on a glorious clear day so we could enjoy the view. We even hiked up to the... More

Bad luck, when we stayed there, there was a terrible mist and there was no views at all. Basic accomodations, but as stated. We knew what to expect. Bathroom below standard, small and uncomfortable. Restaurant used to captive customers, (all other restaurants are for away!) expensive without compensation. Nice for romantic youngsters of all ages, better avoid else and certainly... More

We found this very nice spot when going down highway 1 from SF to LA. Fantastic view. Also nice that there where no TV, no Internet and even no cell phone range! :) 150-195 bucks is a bit much, but of course the view is all worth it.

Its odd being in a place with no internet, tv, radio or cell phone but maybe thats a good thing. We were in cabin #9 with a magical view that is not done justice from the propertys' website. The bed/comforter were awesome and we both slept like babies. The room is nothing fancy but it is all about the view... More

We stayed in Cabin 10. The view was wonderful. The bed was beyond heaven. We left the window open and slept to the sounds of the ocean waves hitting the shore line. What a wonderful anniversary gift Lucia Lodge was.

What a wonderful find! I highly recommend that you splurge and stay in a cabin. They are so charming and have the most incredible views! Although somewhat rustic with small bathrooms, the cabins were spotless and very comfortable with small gas stove heaters to add to the character. We did not eat dinner there, so I am not able to... A must-stop location on Big Sur. Cabins 7-10 have a spectacular view over the ocean (once the mist clears). They are beautifully furnished, with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a torch (flashlight) for the short night-time walk to the restaurant. The food is very good; there's a great selection for breakfast. Friendly service. And don't miss the night sky... More

We ( 4 adults ) were traveling from PA to CA and found this lodge on the internet. We were in CA for almost 3 weeks and stayed in many hotels. Without a doubt, this was our favorite. It was clean, quiet, and the charming. The views were out of this world. It was in an isolated spot so no... More

We booked Lucia Lodge on our way from San Francisco to Los Angeles, having spotted it going the other way, loved the look of it and managed to get a last minute room. From beginning to end it was a magical experience. The location and views are spectacular, the cabin (no 9) is very simply decorated and immaculately clean. There... More
