Really enjoyed our stay at big sur campground, it was so different from the rest of our trip up the coast and definitely worth stopping off. Everyone staying there was so friendly and so nice to us novice campers! There's a good bar close by and you can also float down the river on rubber rings during the day. It... More

Nice facilities, great river flowing in front of our tent cabin. Super nice staff. Everything was clean and worked well. Only complaints are that the sites are very clise to eachother. Also, you can hear the cars on Hwy.1.

Just spend 5 days and we had a great time. We stay at camp 2, big enough for our 5th wheel. We were facing the river. The kids had fun in the cold water and we had the perfect view. The staff was very helpful and polite. There is lots of people but from our location it was not a... More

Not a big camping/outdoorsy person but our one night stay at this place was very nice. Booked our tent cabin that same daw we were driving up from San Luis Obispo. We couldve been more prepared but since it was an impromptu trip to Big Sur we just had our backpacks. This place is actually very convenient. The store/restaurant is... More

If you are looking for high-end, comfortable, and very civilized camping, then Big Sur Campground is awesome. This is not the place to go if you want to be alone in the rustic wilderness. But it’s the perfect place for what I call “luxury camping”, and I enjoy coming here every year. The campsites are very clean and well-maintained. There’s... More

Big Sur campgrounds and cabins offers a range of accommodations from campsites to tent cabins to A frame cottages. The bathrooms are spotless and the campgrounds are always clean and orderly. Lots of frontage on the Big Sur River and 13 acres of redwood forest paradise.

We spent two nights in the cabins at the campground. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The cabin appeared to be new. It was a very large room with two queen beds and a full bathroom. The setting is lovely...right in the heart of the Redwoods with the Big Sur River on the grounds. Very quiet... More

We arrived mid week and found a great spot for our tent. The staff is very helpful and the campground is very clean. The showers are included with the price. The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. There is power for your shaver or hair dryer and the staff cleans them three times a day. It does get very cool... More

This is a pretty nice spot, set along a river in the tall Redwoods. Very scenic, but also very crowded. We stayed in a 1 br cabin, which was spotlessly clean. There are no TVs, but plenty of board games and books in the cabin to keep occupied. It was fun. The bed wasn't very comfortable - the mattress is... More
