This is a very nice campsite in Big Sur - good location near restaurants and walking trails, clean showers and helpful staff. However I think $30 a night is expensive for a two man tent - although Big Sur in general is an expensive place.

This place is truly nice. It has campsites, cabins and RV sites. The river runs just nearby and some cabins and campsites are actually on the river. We stayed in a one bedroom cabin which was clean, warm and cozy. We had a fire each night outside and enjoyed our time. There are basketball courts, laundry facilities, showers, and even... More

I don't know what kind of crazy some of these people are, but Big Sur Campground and Cabins is awesome. I've stayed here every year for the past 15 years. Why? Because it's amazing. If you are a group of young people who love to stay up late and party, then this place is not for you. I have stayed... More

We stayed at Big Sur Campground And Cabins in May of 2013 for 28 days, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment there. If you are looking for 5 star hotel treatment, with 24 hour room service, then this place is possibly not for you. Equally, if you fancy a rugged, Robinson Crusoe type experience, with jungle type isolation, you are going... More

Just got back from camping at this beautiful, cozy spot. They have big lots with tons of gorgeous Sequoia trees. There's a river that runs right in the campgrounds, so grab one of their innertubes and just be lazy. The kids will love a huge jungle gym that's sure to please. Forgot something; pancake mix, smores, firewood, ice, condements, etc,... More

STAY AWAY FROM HERE The people that run this place are so rude, if you wanted to be treated like less then a human being go here. After a 4 hour car ride we arrived to the most beautiful place called Big Sur, Smiling ear to ear at the front gate is where we met Beth the owners wife I... More

The people running this place are the worst. The facilities are dirty and aged. I went for a birthday party and had to leave early because my wife and I were disgusted. They have Christmas lights up in April, they come and harass you if you stay up past 10, and their facilities are cramped and not worth the fee.... More

We just visited this month. These are new cabins in the last 1-2 years. Really fun design but REALLY COLD at night! No heater and no down comforter. Bring your own comforter if you want to stay warm at night. For the price - they should offer a heater or comforter and wood for a fire would be nice too... More

I've stayed at Big Sur Campground & Cabins many times over the last 20+ years. My family and friends have long enjoyed the small cabins there. However, last year we stayed there in the spring, and we had the bad luck of a water heater going bad in our cabin. We promptly informed the management of the incident, and waited... More

To me, anyone who is privileged enough to live full time in these woods amongst the unchanging and monumental scenery that makes up this very intimate part of the world has arrived. These cabins and tent cabins are extraordinary in their simplicity. We stayed in one of the cabins for the heat but I would definitely stay in the tent... More
