My kids grew up camping at this campground for a decade - one week at a time. Since then, we still show up most summers. We have also rented an A frame cabin and a few other cabins during the winter at times. We pretty much know it inside out, so I thought it might be helpful to others to... More

We stayed in Cabin A for two nights in August and it was great. I wasn't sure what to expect as the website isn't great and when I called to book the woman who took the booking was quite surly, however we had great service from everyone we met during our stay. The cabin was basic but very cute and... More

We loved this campsite, relaxed atmosphere with lovely little cabins. It was expensive but we were there in peak time which is understandable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the area itself is beautiful with cafes/restaurant and shops a short drive away. (Basically you can turn up with nothing and find everything you need there). I preferred it to... More

...the downside being that you have to leave. This place is so perfect that we genuinely didn't want to leave. We stayed in an A frame cabin. It was amazing. Not really camping as it had massive beds and a fridge, but beautiful and magical. They have rv spaces and tents and cabins and everything and the place is totally... More

Spent just 1 night in cabin C - large and attractive design. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Cabin right in heart of redwood grove with opening to sky to star gaze! Great fire pit to sit by at night too. Downsides were that you have to drive to any trailhead walks and the price was quite high. However, I think... More

Cabin was perfect for 4 (number 64). It was expensive but had everything we needed - plenty of cooking equipment. There was just enough water to swim in the river. Staff were helpful and the basketball court was a plus too. Take plenty of food with you if you want to cook as the local stores don't sell much!

We took our 21 Ft RV to BSCG and had a wonderful time. Even though we are in a drought, there was enough river water to play in and it was pristine. The facilities are wonderfully clean and the staff is great. Lots of happy families and kids running around in a safe, friendly environment. Highly recommended - but two... More

Stayed for 3 days 2 night. We had two spots for tent camping. Spots are spacious, come with a picnic table and fire ring. Bathrooms were always very clean and toilet paper stocked. The grounds are well maintained and clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. There was always fresh baked cookies at the front office for purchase. In the... More

When we first drove in to the Big Sur Campground, I thought oh no big mistake - but after checking in and finding our cabin the charm of the place hit. Our cabin, number 54 was spotless, bright and happy. We had a wonderful porch with chairs, a picnic table, and fire pit plus giant redwoods surrounding us. Sleeping with... More

I seriously want to move into one of the cabins and never leave. We camped when we stayed there but the cabins look really great. Camping was great, we had a spot right on the river. If you are a hammock camper this place is a good bet. I looked at all the sites and most were very hammock friendly.... More
