This place is adorable and cozy! LOVED the fire pit and heated floors especially! The Roadhouse across the HWY is great, too.... They have a great trail through the stillness of the Redwoods starting at the restaurant.

My husband and I did an impromptu road trip up the PCH coast for our honeymoon over the last two weeks. Our first stop was Big Sur, and we didn't start looking for accommodations until we were already on the road. We happened upon Glen Oaks on Yelp and called to see if they had rooms. They had one cabin... More

When we read reviews about Big Sur we had prepared for the worse. There are gas stations along this stretch and there are eating places as well, though pricey naturally. We were told to book ahead for our dinner so we did. We emailed them requesting a particular room when we booked about 4 months prior to our arrival. It... More

My main criticism of Glen Oaks was its website and my difficulty in understanding what was the difference between the motel accommodation and the cottage accommodation. When we checked in we were provided with an extremely useful site map which shows the location of all of the Cabins and the Motor Lodge. if that site map was on the website... More

We took a trip up the California coast. We booked only two weeks in advance, so accommodations in Big Sur were few and far between. I decided to splurge with Archie's Cabin at Glen Oaks lodge, since their motor lodge rooms weren't available. We were charged over $400 for the one night. The cabin was basically 1 room and a... If you go to Big Sur... this is the place to stay. Amazing staff and new beautiful rooms all set in the quiet, sleepy woods. Stay in one of the cabins down by the stream. Each cabin comes with a fire pit outside where you can make smores with the smores get you get in your room. Our cabin was... More

We spent last weekend at Glen Oaks in a Little Sur cabin - cabin #8. I didn't realize that the cabins are further down Highway 1 (not very far) and to the west of the lodge, whereas the regular rooms are to the east. I loved the sense of quiet and seclusion being in the cabins. They are small -... More

Looking for a place to stay for one night on our trip down the Pacific Coast Highway, we found Glen Oaks online and booked our stay after reading excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. It's nestled in a redwood forest, with upscale cabins. The bed is comfortable, and the remote-controlled fireplace warms nicely on a cool night. The decor is... More

We stayed one night a couple of weeks ago, we were just driving through and stumbled upon Glen Oaks. We were pleasantly surprised lovely service from the front desk and amazing recommendation to have dinner across the road at the Roadhouse one of the best meals from our trip and amazing. California wine. A small restaurant with a small but... More

Fantastic location and the little Sur cabins were incredibly cute set within an amazing forest of redwoods. We stayed in the North cabin by the river which was very private and has the perfect firepit tucked up against 4 redwoods. Would absolutely recommend this resort. We did not try the big Sur diner but heard it was great.
