Our family of five stayed here for 2 days on our travels through Big Sur. Yes, many people say that it is expensive, and it is. But unless you're camping, everything is. This is Big Sur, after all, with limited lodging, so really what do you expect? It's all about supply and demand, and with the lodging sold out for... More

I had to stay here for a friend's wedding. I was surprised that the rooms cost over $200, but like I said, I had to stay here. Check in is at 4pm and I tried to check in at 2:15pm but the front desk lady said 'no.' I pleaded with her for an earlier check in because I had to... More

Expensive for what you really get. -I had terrible allergies; the carpet wasn't clean. -It was incredible hot in the room when we arrived and there was no air conditioner! But you have a fireplace.... ;) -Rude (really rude) staff. -Cellphone does not work there and they CHARGE $20 /DAY to use wi-fi. Can you believe that? you can find... More

The front desk doesn't have a manager and the whole entire place redirects the guest back to the front desk. The GM was VERY rude to his employees when they asked him questions. The food was absolutely terrible. The front desk staff was incredible considering the hand they've been dealt. LaShandra and Tyler's professionalism and humor almost made the trip... More

We got 2 cottages with fireplaces for a family vacation to Big Sur. The accommodations are not special and the fireplaces need to be clean but lets remember you are camping. We choose this place for the heated pool, coming from Texas the pool was not heated..lol. The biggest surprise was the food, the restaurant was awesome, under staffed but... More

Beautiful park but terribly run down, poorly maintained and outdated room. From the cracked bathroom sink, awful shower, smoke smelling room and dirty worn out carpet this was a disappointment. Taylor at front desk was a pleasure.

My family of 4 rented a cabin here for one night. The cabin itself could not have been more average. It was clean but extremely basic and visually unappealing. The great draw are the grounds, which are beautiful. We really enjoyed our evening on our very small balcony, looking up at the stars and seeing the gorgeous redwoods.

We spent a night at the big sur lodge earlier this week and enjoyed our stay. The room was big and we all had a good night sleep. The only complaint was that the fire place has been used quite regularly so the smell of smoke was dominant. The food at the restaurant was really good and the price was... More

Our lodgings were way more upscale than I had anticipated from a hotel located in a state park. We were in a beautiful cabin with fine linens and a skylight, that was decorated by framed, pressed flowers and other plants. Before bedtime we hiked around the park and saw a waterfall, deer, a hummingbird, a little green snake and of... More

Upon arrival, we were checked in by Deborah. She was so very friendly and gave us a few hiking trail suggestions and suggestions for sights to see in the immediate area. Our cabin was very comfortable. I personally did have enough reception to use my cell phone a bit in the room. Pool was nice, but didn't seem heated to... More
