I stayed six weeks in #14, a third floor suite with 2 queen beds & a kitchen. The beds are comfortable, there's a bit of ocean view, and the staff are wonderful. The restaurant is better than last year. I particularly enjoyed the Aztec soup & fish frajitas. The hotel is lovely, right in town and I feel safe. It's... More

Plopping my bags down here, turning on the ceiling fan and idling for a day/nt upon returning from a week in Havana proved a great way to punctuate my spring vacation. I did my research (as I always do) before making lodging plans. And, just as so many others attest, this independent hotel is a great value. Miguel Angél y... More

My wife & I enjoyed spending time in Puerto Morelos and Hotel Posada del Moro is located in a very nice location. Easy access to the public beach and local restaurants. The complimentary continental breakfast was a nice touch and the full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are very good as well.

Nice quaint hotel in a great location two blocks from the beach. Our junior suite for two adults, room 34, on the second floor facing the pool was a great location. Free breakfast included coffee, tea, toast and a fruit plate. Larger breakfasts are available for a charge. There are numerous restaurants in the area and some shopping as well.... More

I love staying at Posada el Moro. I feel comfortable and safe here and the staff feel like family to me. It is in a wonderful location right near the town square. The setting is lovely, the rooms are comfortable and the staff make every effort to please. I have stayed here 5 years in a row and many come... More

We stayed here for three nights on our way back to UK and found the staff friendly and the rooms comfortable. The food was not so special but there are many other places to eat and the Hotel is a very good base. It is between the main square and the beach up the road. We didn't use the small... More

Quaint, pleasantly quiet, great location. Good price and good service. The pool in the garden provides nice ambiance as well as good shade/relief on a hot day. Family with two small children; we stayed two nights. Puerto Morelos is a lovely town.

I loved staying in this locally owned hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal, less than a block from the center of Puerto Morelos but insulated from excessive noise. The only tiny drawback, and this was not the fault of the hotel, was the noise from dogs barking at... More

Dear maroboston: Thanks for your time to write your review. Indeed the dogs barking at night is becoming a nuisance. I do not blame the dogs but their owners. Sorry for this problem that is out of hands to solve it. Our local authority is aware of this problem and is looking for a solution soon. Hopefully, in your next... More

The last time we stayed here was in 2009 while the third story was being added to the rooms facing the pool. In Puerto Morelos, 3 stories are the maximum height allowed for all buildings, so the new trend seems to be adding a palapa, a thatched roof, on top of the third floor for additional space. The new palapa... More

Dear sjmeyn: Thanks for your nice review and let us know those problematic areas in our service. Indeed we have a problem with the third floor roof for it does not have noise isolation. That problem prevent us from utilizing the palapa roof and that space for the comfort of our guests. We are going to solve that problem. During... More
