I spent a week here in March, on a yoga retreat. The Amar is about 10 feet from the beach, has a serene and lush courtyard garden, simple rooms that are immaculately clean. The breakfast each day was fresh, delicious, and filling--it will definitely tide you over until dinner. It is family run, and the kindness of the staff cannot... More

We've been to his little hotel many times before. We love its eccentricities, its location, its garden, its owners and staff. The open air dining area is a wonderful place to meet travelers from all over the world. The included breakfast is magnificent! We've apparently never been there in late October as we had never before seen the fantastic show... More

What a wonderful surprise at this terrific B and B in Puerto Morelos. Fortunately, we were traveling with friends who have stayed in a number of times. The hospitality of Luis and Miguel in simply unparalled. The rooms were a bit 'spartan' but adequate and each did have AC. The quirkiness of the stairwell to the upper rooms is fun... More

M$750 for a room with a half a view......was enough. Nice soft bed. Ants came for a little sweet drink spilled, but it was okay. Location is about 4 blocks from the pier. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Not sure how much rain would enter the various cracks around windows and doors, but I liked the privacy of the... More

Puerto Moreles is a lovely and relatively quiet beach town about halfway between the busier resorts of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. I stayed at the Amar Inn for only one night as part of a nine day tour of the Yucatan peninsula. It was by far the cheapest of the hotels I stayed in, but was good value and... More

We chose to stay here for 4 nights in mid may after reading the trip advisor reviews. Overall we were disappointed with our time there. We love PM having been here twice before but this B&B isn't the best. A couple of days before our arrival we contacted them regarding payment and they wanted around £100 more than the price... More

I just got home from 4 nights at Amar Inn and I miss it already. This is a family run place with Mom and her sons constantly working to make their guests feel at home. The other reviewers have had a lot to say, which is why I wanted to stay there to begin with, but I will add my... More

If you are lucky, and I'm not being a jerk here, you will experience this B&B. They are heavily booked, especially during peak season, because they are wonderful. I mean, the owners are wonderful; the staff is wonderful and the beach (you could crawl there, it is so close to this place) is wonderful.

We stayed here for a few nights in the summer (this review is admittedly coming very late). We stayed in the ocean cabin, which was huge and had a great breeze and a nice view. It's nice having a separate bathroom and the eco-toilet is no problem at all. A few considerations, though - we left the door open overnight... More

Amar Inn is family run by brothers Luis and Miguel with rooms and cabanas set in a small but beautifully kept garden, where you may catch a glimpse of an iguana. We climbed a rickety looking wooden spiral staircase to the green room, a large and airy room with a sea view from one window. We found the bed comfortable... More
