We were here for a week in March and found everything to be very satisfactory. The room {#106} was next to the dive shop, and we loved all the activity and the people we super friendly and courteous that run the dive shop. The pool was crystal clear and there is good swimming right out front. The location of this hotel... More

Stayed here for there days - reception staff very friendly - spoke English. Nice clean large accommodations. Ground level rooms the best as right by pool and closer to beach. Upstairs rooms very hot in the morning as no protection from sun - and no place to sit outside so have to take all your beach stuff down to pool... More

We were here for a week in March. We always had great cleaning service and plenty of hot water. The air worked fine and so did the T.V. We have been here for three years and will probably be back. The location is wonderful as we went to town three to four times a day and it is an easy... More

I do have a positive judge for this Hotel and probably I will come back here one day just for the great view you can have on the ocean from your room. All the rest was just minimal as receptioners, cleaning service and the room. It was very cheap because of an offer of the day, so we dind't care... More

Good value for here, but not for interior Yucatan. Plain rooms. Cobwebs not hovered up (good as stopped mossies coming through gaps around door). Room 106 right next to dive shop. Friendly but not private. Good access to nice pool and beach.

The table was never cleaned after we seated down, the waiter brought us lukewarm coffe and dropped tje menu on the table without a word. he came back and we ordered chilaquiles with chicken in green sauce and speificlly asked the guy to bring refried beans with them, he told us yeah no problem and left, there was only another... We stayed at Carmen Hacienda for 7 nights the first week in May, 2010. The rooms are nice size and very clean. The bathroom always had hot water and lots of pressure. We stayed on the first floor right by the pool. There is a table and chairs right outside the door and a hammock. During the week there were... More

Let me start with the positives of this hotel. The location is perfect, on the beach & close to town. Every room has a view. The rooms were a bit small, but adequate. There is parking and the showers were always hot and had great water pressure. There is an on-site dive shop, Aquanauts, which was convenient and offered great... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Carmen Hacienda. It was quiet and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was fabulous to be able to lounge on the beach so close to our hotel room. We'd definately stay here again!

If you are looking for off the beaten path, don't believe the hype. Puerto Morelos (if one is staying by the beach/town square) is packed with tourists, and not much interaction with town residents (Mexicans-not foreigners) unless they are tourism-focused employees. Smaller town yes, but hard to find local flair. Restaurants are expensive (as compared to ones in most Mexican... More
