This last minute vacation for us was one of the best stays at a resort that either of us have ever experienced. The resort was quiet with only about 50% occupancy rate and knowing this, we weren't expecting too much so we were pleasantly surprised to find that the staff were efficient, friendly and very accomodating. We have visited the Secrets Capri and the Secrets Maroma.....also great vacation spots, but for us the Secrets Silversands was numero uno........the staff, services provided, food, entertainment, etc., was superior - especially the food. I was very impressed with how Secrets Silversands handled the Swine Flu situation and the low occupancies. They were understandably shorter staffed than what would be normal due to the lower occupancy in Mexico as a whole. Their normal 7 restuarants were rotated with 2 open each night.
