My husband and I and another couple stayed in Casa Mae for one week and we loved it. We liked the location and the pool was a bonus I hadn't really even counted on. The house is just as beautiful as it appears on the Abbey website and very functional in every aspect. We did make use of the kitchen... More

We were a group of 16, our family of four staying in Casa Ricardo, the others stayed in 3 other of their properties. This was a very spacious, comfortable house with a great view and many stairs! Outside patios are large, private, and lovely. A beautiful place. The kitchen items like dishes and silverware and small appliances could use a... More

We spent a week at Casa Mulder over Christmas with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids ages 8 and 11. This house is not owned by Abbey del Sol but rental is managed by Abbey del Sol. We were told this house was originally built as a bed and breakfast venture that did not work out so well for the... More

We so appreciate our guests feedback, it is how we know what needs to be fixed and updated. We repaired the small gas leak in the oven pilot light as soon as we found out about it and have installed a new dishwasher. The electrical issues in a few of the light fixtures is an ongoing challenge based on the... More

This was our first trip to PM, we have tired of Playa Del Carmen crowds and were looking for something in area but less tourists. I read many reviews of Abbey Del Sol and all were wonderful. I will add mine to list! the two of us stayed in casa anita for a week and adored this place. it is... More

My daughter and myself had a wonderful week. The staff at Abbey del Sol were exceptionally helpful and the apartment spacious and well equiped. We lazed by the pool, sat on the beach and wandered into the town; just what we nnedded after 2 weeks volunteering on a reserve with only basic facilities. We also took a great Spanish course... Casa Anita ticked all the boxes we were looking for to make a fantastic holiday! Location - in the north end of town where it was quiet but only a few minutes walk from the many amenities in Puerto Morelos ( restaurants, bars, food and gift shops, currency exchange, pharmacy, tour companies, car hire, etc.). We stayed for two weeks... More

What more can I say?? My husband and I stayed in the studio (#3) in Abbey One for 4 nights and we had a wonderful time. Abbey and her staff are so helpful and accomodating and the apartments are tastefully decorated and we really felt at home. The grounds are all beautiful and very well taken care of and the... More

Hidden in plain sight between Cancun and Playa del Carmen lies the little fishing village of Puerto Morelos. This is one of the last colonial villages along the Mayan coast, and a closely guarded secret among those who like to escape frigid winters of the north. The town has a recently updated square, where children and musicians play. Restaurants, markets,... More

Abbey del Sol is a wonderful small lodging facility on the Mayan Riviera that will be of considerable interest to experienced travelers seeking an authentic Mexican travel experience and wishing to bypass the frenetic glitz of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Located approximately midway between these two highly developed tourist destinations, Puerto Moreles is a a real-life Mexican fishing village... More
