We recently stayed a week at Hacienda Morelos. Great location within walking distance to many good restaurants. Pretty basic no frills, but clean and reasonably priced. All rooms face the beach. Would stay again, but the beds could be a little softer. You have to be in the lobby for the wifi, then it still only works part time. Rooms... More

When I say the "only choice", I mean that literally. Puerto Morelos is a wonderful village on the water half way between Cancun and Playa Del Carman, and it is much quieter and "traditional" - no modern resorts, just smaller, independent, hotels - several to choose from a block or two inland, and a few of them are in the... This property had just been taken over by the new owners and they were working to update it. It was a great value for the dollar. In all fairness, the amenities were not up and running like the restaurant or bar; however I suspect that has changed by now. Lots of great places to eat very close by so it... More

This was a basic hotel with TV, nicely tiled floors, a large shower, two double beds. It was in a great location and we could walk to almost everything.. .restaurants, shopping, bank, ATM, and best of all, it was right on the beach. It has boats docked right out the back door, and they don't tell you that on the... More

As many people have already pointed out, you don't stay here for resort luxury, or small hotel charm. You stay here because its close to downtown PM, and oh yeah, it's on the beach. But really, it has little else to recommend it. The restaurant was closed, the wifi worked only in the lobby, but the rooms are basic and... More

We had a rough start at this hotel. We were given a room on the 3rd floor that had no mattress pad, sheets too small for the bed, no screens on the window, a broken air conditioner control and toothpaste in the sink. Thankfully this was remedied by Leslie, who found us a new room. We had a lovely small... More

Right on the beach, mostly clean, but no charm at all. Glad that we only stayed one night prior to flying home from Cancun. The pool looked nice and perhaps, had we taken advantage of it, we would be able to say something more positive.

Hmmm, definitely a mixed review. It has some positives and negatives: Positive-- Mostly clean. The main room is spacious and clean. The bathroom is the problem (see negatives). Good location. Close walk to pier and restaurants. Right on the beach and the pool and patio are nice. The young man working at the front desk was nice and helpful. The... More

I originally picked this hotel because I could see the ocean from the photos and there was a swimming pool for my daughter. The hotel was even better than I could have imagined. The room was very big and so beautifully decorated. We had a balcony that I could sit out on that looked directly over the beach. The swimming... More

So I booked this hotel based solely on a price that I got from a discount booking place. Got a good deal and the place was mostly ok. Good: room spotless, lovely view from balcony, great location near the main square, nice towels, good AC. Not so good (nothing was bad, just average): Indifferent reception from desk agent, no bar...
