The hotel looks very nice from the outside and the staff are welcoming and pleasant. However, I had a tiny room even though I had booked a double room with single occupancy. i am not sure if they had better, larger rooms but I certainly didn't get one. The restaurant was reasonable and the food quite good, nothing fancy though.

Beautifull old building at the entrance of the village. Room was ok with nice view. Decoration was cheapish, not in line with the building. Good breakfast. Restaurant was closed. Staff not really friendly. We were forced to pay for take the most expensive room without asking for it.

Good location. Very hard and uncomfortable bed. The food was terrible. When we asked why the cannelloni was mushy, the server said it was cooked earlier and then put in the microwave to heat it. The trout was bone and skin.

We had four nights in Le Mirval which were a delight. Everyone was very friendly, food was good and a good choice at breakfast time. We had a spacious room overlooking the river. La Brigue is a really interesting old village and although relatively remote is well known throughout the region and is famous for its honey and sheeps' cheese.... More

Good food, nice view. Defently worth it . Recomend. Nice staff and good food. So nice view from terasse. Lovely french athmosphere. Just go there for dinner while vistiting the area , for 20 euro a 3 course tasty meal in the mountains . Goood value.

Well they don't leave you much of a choice as it's the only hotel in la Brigue. But then again, Le Mirval offers an honest stay. Rooms were dampy, breakfast is very, very basic. But hey, it does the trick, and the owners are very nice and helpful.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of a walking holiday. This is a delightful hotel. Others have called it 'unpretentious' and that seems an apt description. The room was clean and bright with a view over the stream. The service and food was good. We had a lovely stay. The village of La... More

Le Mirval is an unpretentious hotel in a great location providing very good (but not exceptional) service, food and accommodation. The room was a good size overlooking the front where the stream rushes by under an attractive stone bridge. It is a short walk by a back street into fascinating old town of La Brigue which had more about it... More

The hotel is a lovely old building standing in a lovely garden beside a river. We stayed during a walking holiday and the surrounding area offers great walking opportunities. The village of Le Brigue is pretty too. However our hotel room was just big enough, we had a both and no shower, everything was clean. I found the bed very... More

Ever since our first visit to Le Mirval in beautiful La Brigue we have been longing to return - this year we spent an all-too-brief couple of nights in this charming spot. We had a very spacious, bright, double aspect room which has been comfortably re-furbished in pleasant light colours, and was all spotlessly clean. We enjoyed two excellent dinners... More
