I found this place whilst walking camino Portuguese and decided to make a detour rather than walk too long in the heat. The hotel is absolutely outstanding and one of the nicest places I have stayed. The grounds are glades with olive trees, ancient oaks and fall away to the small river in the shade. The swimming pool was just... More

Where do I start? Jose and his daughter made our stay just great. The place itself is immaculate. The grounds are incredible! They really love the place and it shows. The attention to detail is great. Jose and his wife just had their first grandchlid be born on the day after we arrived. They still managed to go out of... More

We stayed there for four nights in the second half of September 2013. The Tripadvisor's recommendations were very important but what we saw and felt there was much higher our expectations! The property is huge with everything there having only one goal - to make you feel like home. Swimming pool, little basketball court with small goals for mini soccer,... More

What can I say about this place, where to begin. Jose and Christina are the most hospitable hosts we have ever come across. Jose is a fountain of knowledge about the north of Portugal, do take his advice. The accommodation is nothing short of luxurious and the breakfast is to die for, all home made products, mostly I think by... More

We stayed two nights here on the strength of other reviews and were not disappointed, it is a beautiful little oasis run by lovely people, Christina and Jose. On arrival we were given a tour of the property with its animals and extensive gardens, swimming pool and restored stone buildings. Jose gave us some of the history of the place... More

This is a well run B&B with huge attention to detail. In their beautiful family home, the owner and his daughter did everything possible to ensure satisfaction. The rooms are sumptuously designed and the situation is good. Many stopovers involve those walking part of the old pilgrim route which passes nearby. Dinner was not available the night we stayed -...
