We always choose our overnight stops from the Logis handbook and have never been disappointed. Our priority is the good food rating. Here you will not be disappointed. We cannot fault the food and the hospitality. A very enjoyable stop and will certainly stay there again.

After some initial hiccups about our booking (due to the Logis website rather than the proprietors we suspect) we were show to two spacious double rooms with beautiful beams and large bathrooms. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant, with a varied menu and skilful cooking. Had a quiet night - no road noise problems. Breakfast was delicious butter... More

We spent one night at this hotel on the way to the Dordogne. We had a really beautiful family room away from the main hotel. It was quiet and comfortable. The restaurant served us an amazing dinner that night and the staff were really kind and understanding particularly towards my daughter who was exhausted after a long trip. We will... More

Needing a stop near Orleans we settled for the Relais and are so pleased that we did. The location in wind farm land means that it is off the beaten track and there were only five of us staying which did not do justice to a truly outstanding chef. Our 30 euro meal was a feast of never ending delights... More

A single overnight stop on our return journey. Chosen on location and that it is part of the Logis chain. This hotel 'group' offers good quality accommodation and above average restaurants. This hotel did not disappoint on either basis. The room was comfortable and quaint. Reception (owner?) was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was very good. Starters were a bit... More

It was 9.30pm. France closes early. I have no petrol there is no-one alive to ask. I see two woman outside the Relais st jacques which I realise is an hotel. This part of France is like a desert. There is nothing. I ask the young lady if there is a room. There is one -the only one left! Within... More

A nice authentic typically French hotel in a small village in the countryside near Orleans. The hotel, an old house, has been tastefully redecorated. The owner was friendly and flexible, we arrived much later than agreed but it was no problem to have dinner. We had a spacious room for 4 persons, ideal for families. At 84 euro per night... More

The owner, Mr Alain Pinsard, has run his restaurant - with hotel rooms - for over 25 years. The rooms and bathrooms have been modernised, and have good beds, central heating and piping hot water. The 52 euro charge for a double room is derisory for 2011! When I say it is "old-fashioned", I mean that it is an example... More
