A lovely place to stay for a quick getaway if you enjoy a bit of luxury, peace and quiet and attentive service. We like the lofts where you can relax in comfort in a world of your own and go out at any time to enjoy Phillip Island at your leasure.

Looking for quiet and peaceful spot is usually fairly difficult over the Easter break. This can especially the case when you choose a location like Phillip Island, a highly popular tourist destination only 80-90 minutes from the city of Melbourne. Despite this, the need for a short, restful break to regenerate after a rather hectic start to the year, saw... More

We were in Phillip Island for a racing weekend - we were actually racing so it was always going to be a hectic weekend. For me it was important to stay somewhere peaceful and comfortable - I wanted to combine speed with luxury! What a great choice we made. Fiona, the owner, met us in the carpark when we arrived.... Our family visited Australia for three weeks over Christmas. Our sons are aged 11 and 16 and we all love penguins and have seen them in various parts of the world. As such, we decided to spend four days on Phillips Island to go and see the penguins. I really liked Hill of Content. I thought that the rooms were... More

My wife and I spent our second anniversary at the hill of content. Our stay can be generally categorised as good, but there are a few quirks with the place. This began after seeking directions from the owners by phone as we made our way over the bridge onto the island (as directed to do so by our booking), we... More

We stayed in the Timber Loft in November, 2012. It was very private, comfortable and well appointed. There has been very detailed attention to attractive design throughout and a beautiful garden. Eggs, bacon, milk, bread, pears, tea and coffee were provided. There was not the barbecue, Internet or provisions replenished daily, as mentioned in a previous review, but we did... More

Thank you for your review, I have taken all on board, the only thing I cannot alter is the sloped roof, but that is made clear by name (loft) and by photographs advertising that type of suite, I am sorry that you were not fully satified, this is not an excuse because I am at the end the one responsible,... My husband and I have stayed here 3 times. It is our little slice of heaven for a nice weekends getaway. We fell in love with the cosy rooms the first time, particularly the spa bath and dvd player with DVDs. We used to stay in the Cypress loft, but last visit we got upgraded to a bigger suite. We... We stayed here January 2008 on a horrendously hot weekend, the B&B was a cool oasis, great place for couples. We cooked dinner one night on the BBQ, the whole place was really well outfitted, very comfortable - perfect for couples away from it all.

We (a couple) wanted to see the fairy penguins in Philip Island (end June 2010) so I researched extensively for accommodation there. I am so pleased to have booked Hill Of Content. From the website, I wasn’t too sure if I made the right decision because it didn’t seem to have as much info as I’d like but the pics... More

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing this place is. My boyfriend and I were visiting Phillip Island for our 6 year anniversary and had all these activities planned but we ended up spending over half the time in the room because it was so cosy, comfortable and relaxing! I can only speak for the room we stayed in,... More
