After spending two nights enjoying the amazing hospitality, fantastic food, and above all, privacy that Wild & Free offered, I extended my stay by another evening. If you are looking for privacy, excellent service, while still enjoying game drives, this is the place to go. There are only 4 rooms (very big rooms), accommodating a maximum of 8 people, perfect!... We had the privilege to stay at Wild & Free for 3 nights/days during August'14. Already the welcoming was special with a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail and the friendly staff. The rooms were incredible. We were 2 couples and had the Zebra and Monkey Room. With outside showers, spacious and very beautiful - everything was decorated individually and to a very... More

I nearly cancelled my booking due to the very rude owner who was unhelpful and blunt. When asking about a booking I do not expect to be asked 'what is your problem?' However, putting this aside, the rest of the staff will do absolutely anything for you to make sure you are happy- great chef who will accommodate all your... More

Given the fact we had been to Pretoria for business and made use of a weekend travel from Pretoria is just about 2 - 2,5 hour drive. The lodge's name is program and is really situated in the middle of the bush. The main lodge is a very beautiful style and just for get together. Its wooden deck enables a... More

We arrived at the lodge and were welcomed by the staff. Then at 16.00hrs we went on a game drive. Saw lots of game, The reserve has some of the wild cats but in a n enclosed area. Arrived back at the lodge, relaxed, then walked up to the restaurant for dinner. Had a great evening, dining under stars next... More

Celebrating our 25th anniversary, we wanted something special and were not disappointed! Just as the name implies, "Wild and Free" is an excellent choice not far from Johannesburg - about 3 hours drive. While it meets all the African bush expectations in terms of luxury, space, privacy and service; what really stood out for us was the staff personalities. Christine... More

We wanted to spend a couple of days in the bush without travelling too far from Johannesburg and decided on Wild & Free. I am so glad that we did – we passed a truly brilliant weekend. The drive through the park towards the lodge is great, we saw several giraffe and impala en route. On arrival we were warmly... More

This place is amazing, there has been careful attention to every detail to make sure your stay is fantastic. The setting has got to be one of the most beautiful in the world, the view took my breath away. The lodges and main building are so comfortable and luxurious with everything you need. But then you have the staff who... More

Absolutely amazing place to stay with the most incredible staff!!! I have never felt more special and one of the family. We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite on arrival and were blown away at the beauty of the lodge. Quiet and peaceful. And the food....oh the food :) the attention to detail stands out among the rest!
