Went to a wetherspoons hotel for the first time was impressed with the room and the staff the service and every aspect of our stay would definitely use a wetherspoons hotel again if there was one in the vicinity

room was a good size and clean comfortable bed. Definitely better to pay for a deluxe room for a larger bed and larger room. Breakfast was fine and two meals for £10 was good value too including the bottle of wine for the price of two glasses! The bar area was very nice large, but sectioned off into smaller more... More

Stay here many many times over the years. The location is good but the rooms always need a refurb, even when they have just had them a week later they look warn and things are broken again. I will carry on staying here as it is convenient due to its location.

Stayed one night bedroom was comfortable and clean only disappointment was the breakfast which was of very poor quality cheap bacon and sausages which was a shame. With a bit more care and raising your game regarding quality and standard of food you serve the hotel would be great.

Lovely place to stay , very good value for money. Helpful staff and nice warm room. We stayed in winter so could not take advantage of the stunning riverside location but it would be ideal in the summer.

Every hotel at some point must have had a fire alarm activated during the night. Ourselves and another couple evacuated the building into the rear car park there was only ours and the other couples car in the carpark. No other people evacuated and on seeing no member or smoke my husband re-entered the building as located on upstairs wall... More

An unfortunate night that was triggered,we discovered in the morning at breakfast by another guest smoking in the bedroom. These guest stayed in their room when the alarms sounded to protect their guilt! The fire brigade informed us it was set off by the steam from their shower, (which the resident had put on full blast probably to cover up... More

As a pre-Christmas treat my husband & I stayed overnight at the unicorn, being the only hotel in gunthorpe & ate at Tom browns brasserie next door. It's a real pain to get to gunthorpe on public transport may I add, so do consider this if you are a non driver coming in from outside of Nottinghamshire. On arrival we... More

We stayed at the Unicorn Hotel for one night and as a new mum, I was a bit nervous about taking my baby out of her normal routine and staying in an unfamiliar place. I shouldn't have worried! The staff and room at the Unicorn Hotel were brilliant! It was a real home from home. Nothing was too much trouble... More

We stayed here for one night and were overall very pleased with the hotel. The room was very clean, and nicely furnished. We had a room at the front of the hotel looking out to the river, which was very quiet the night we stayed. The staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening... More
