Am local, so didn't stay here; just had lunch there last week with a friend. Just fancied hamburger & chips, as I noticed on their website 'Gourmet Hamburgers.' The staff at order were extremely slow (they were concerned with a customer who's credit card hadn't worked.) & not interested in us. The burgers took 15 mins. to arrive (we had... More

It's not a bad pub,but it can be a little pretentious. Beer very good but the food i think is a bit steep.Nice and Handy for the rest of Westbay, and its nice to sit outside at night although you have to cross a road from the garden to the pub to get a drink. Kiddie-winks please take care.

We had a one night stay at the weekend just over a week ago. We booked directly with the hotel and our rate included breakfast the following morning. The rooms have been recently refurbished to a very high standard, and there are thoughtful touches such as blackout blinds in addition to curtains, essential for west facing rooms. However, I feel... We visited with our 5 children whilst on holiday at West Bay. Their ages range from 4 to 17. The service was friendly and efficient, with advice given by the waitress on specials and availability for children. The food was superb, from kids meals to fish 'specials' from the board. We had a lovely meal in pleasant, welcoming surroundings. Would... More

We stayed there for 2 days as we were visting friends. Lovely refurbished room. Very clean and nice breakfast. Landlord very helpful. Had an evening meal not on the menu but on the specials, seafood pie and the sole which were really delicious. We will be staying again in a couple of months.

We planned to spend the week-end photographing the ZapCats and OCR racing at West Bay this week-end so needed a convenient place to spend the night. We had seen some excellent reviews of the restaurant and spotted that it had recently been refurbished so booked room 8 on spec. It turned out to be a good choice, with a friendly... More

I went to Westbay for the day with my partner, 2 children and our dog. As I walked in I was greeted with a smile and was assured they did food and dogs are welcome! My children went to play on the classic games machine and the manager came over to show them how it worked. We ordered some drinks... More
