We just stayed at the Palazzo Leopoldo for a couple of days. Had a beautiful room which was large and with a great view. The bathroom was spacious, and both were clean. The reception and public areas are lovely - soft comfortable chairs you can just relax into. There is even a beautiful and serene chapel on the second floor... More

May 2 thru 9 2015. Hotel is located in the town of Radda in Chianti. Not sure of the room class as we were staying as part of a “Culture Discovery Vacations” Group, touring wine makers and other sights for the week and attending cooking classes given by Lorenzo Migliorini in the hotel’s kitchen. Breakfast was excellent. hotel is impressive... More

After hiking into Radda from Volpaia we began our search for a night's lodging. We checked a couple of small hotels. Either they were full or weren't very pleasant looking. We walked by the Palazzo Leopoldo and by the look of it appeared way out of our price range. But we checked it out anyway and were amazed at the... More

This hotel is a gem! Quiet and clean. Great breakfast on the veranda overlooking the Chianti region. Not a lot to do right in Radda but a great base camp to visit Siene and other areas in this rich cultural area. Staff was wonderful. Internet is very spotty.

What a lovely hotel. The location is nice, in the small town of Raada. Nearby to vineyards. Need a car to get around,. Pool is very nice. Breakfast very good. Rooms are nice and big with beautiful views.

It is an old palazzo, but reasonably restored and clean. The people are extremely friendly, the breakfast is superb for Italian habits. We liked it very much. You can access by car when the receptionist turns the gate at the village entrance, and thereafter there is plenty of free public parking nearby. This was at the end of March, perhaps... More

Stayed at this hotel in March - most restaurants/shops weren't open yet as it was the very beginning of the tourist season. Not much to do in the town so only would recommend a quick stop here. Stayed at this hotel for 1 night; received an upgrade - large room with balcony. Quick wifi but breakfast was not included. Would... More

You feel this hotel has been here for centuries but still has wonderful guest amenities. Really appreciated the "American coffee"and loved the little rooms where a wonderful breakfast was served. A nice touch for a group of Americans on tour was a sheet of paper in the morning with some American news and ball scores. Didn't have time to use... More

During the first week in October 2014, I stayed at the Palazzo Leopoldo with a fellow Cyclist for the second time (previously , I stayed there in October 2012). On both occasions, my stay was in connection with entering L'Eroica Vintage Cycle Sportive, Radda being very well positioned in Tuscany for the event, and a very pleasant town in which... More

This site is full of praise for the hotel but not from those who have suffered room 14 (or 13 too, we suspect). Whilst others relax in the luxury of their suites with fine furnishings and comforts, others will have entered room 14 and registered utter dismay at the pokey little window ( described as a peephole elsewhere on this... Dear Natalia, we are sorry that you did not like the room 14, a nice and equipped Superior room, and that you decided not to tell anything to us during your stay. You stayed at Palazzo Leopoldo during a group tour and we suspect that maybe your unsatisfaction was increased comparing your room to the Suite or Junior Suite of... More
