Truly unique experience in a spectacular part of Tuscany. Great staff - very helpful - especially front desk. Breakfast in the old Tuscan kitchen was excellent. Enjoyed the pool - somewhat unique design. Unfortunately the spa area was closed. Lots of care has been put into the restoration and decoration of the hotel. Some shops and a few restaurants around... More

We stayed here for four nights and had a lovely time. The place is full of character. We had a large room with a slanted ceiling and a sky light that looked out to the bell tower from the church. The rooms are clean and the bedding comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating and the breakfast was lovely. I will... More

We had a large room with a huge bathroom, a good sized safe and a wardrobe that would have served Napoleon in exile. The bath had a good shower, bidet, stool and sink with a towel warmer that didn't seem to work and a towel hanger that was huge. Breakfast was sufficiently varied. Wifi was spotty and required lots of... More

Lovely terrace with a view of a Chianti valley. Terrific breakfast laid out in a country kitchen. Nice folks who are very friendly. Shower is very small. A quiet part of the world. We really liked the location and you need to try the Bottega down the street.

This is a well situated hotel in the heart of this charming Chianti village. We were well received on the first evening and had a superb meal preceded by a wine tasting on the lower levels of the hotel. The room was spacious with an ensuite bathroom and had far-reaching views. The following morning we were up and out quite... More

We stayed in room 9 for 4 nights, the hotel staff kindly upgraded us to a suite, which we very much appreciated. We can highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes an authentic place in heart of Chianti, not too remote and walking distance to several nice bars, shops and restaurants. The views from our room and the breakfast... More

I cannot understand this place ever getting less than top score. It is difficult to find anything but good to say about it. We stayed in Room 4 (worth whatever extra it may cost) for 8 nights as the first half of our holiday in Italy. We achieved the objective of "slowing down" in record time. Of course the location... We stayed 4 nights at this hotel which previously was a manor house. It is an absolutely charming building. The view from the terrace is spectacular. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a large bedroom, front foyer and good-sized bathroom. The shower was roomy with good pressure. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but... More
