We stayed 2 nights at this charming country inn and loved it. Don't expect luxury: if you expect your bags to be carried, plush towels and 24 hours room service, go somewhere else. But for a simple bed & breakfast in an incredibly beautiful atmosphere and the most sincere and entertaining hosts: this is it! Roberto and Sylvie have been... More

An agriturismo at its best. A location in the middle of vineyards. Every evening dinner with Sylvie and Roberto, the highly educated owners, with a tour d'horizon about culture and politics. And the star cook Roberto preparing his tasteful meals. Sylvie and Roberto have a large knowledge about the region, are eager to help and speak german, french, english and... More

We have waited to submit our review to see if time would temper our disappointment with our stay in this property, but it has not. We have been to Italy many, many times and Podere sticks in our memory as a major disappointment. As other reviewers have said, don't just go by the photos and its postcard; this looks like... More

We spent a week at this lovely country home with our family. The rooms were comfortably furnished with unique antiques and the in room baths clean. The dinners were excellent and we loved meeting and sharing meals with other guests from around the world. Our hosts were charming, helped us plan our excursions and were very accommodating. The locale gave... More

We stayed for 2 nights in May We loved the quiet countryside. Our room was comfortable and clean. The furniture is a bit dated but we found it charming. We opted for the home cooked dinners, 35€ per person. The food and wine were plentiful. We really enjoyed sharing dinner with the other guests, wonderfully spirited conversations. We found our... Podere Terreno looked lovely on its website, but in actuality it was pretty run down beginning at the driveway. Junk was strewn at the side of the driveway, landscape was unkept and dog mess and dog dishes greeted us. We finally found the entrance to the house and dogs were on couches. The place is unkept. Maybe ok for a... More

the rooms are furnished nicely, but it was quite cold and the rooms were not heated at all, lukewarm showers. Breakfast was all right, but dinner was disappointing: super market pasta, main course average, a lot of salad, no cheese or sweet afterwards - most expensive dinner with low quality we had during 3 weeks in Italy. The hosts were... More

We arrived with great anticipation, having looked forward to this stay for some time.Podere Terreno came HIGHLY recommended in various media. Podere Terreno,in our actual experience (group of 12 friends),while a beautiful and fascinating venue, lacked warmth, welcome and hospitality on the part of the hosts. We found Roberto and Marie-Sylvie to be perhaps past their "best-by" date as hosts.Perhaps they've had enough... More

After reading all the reviews we were disappointed by the lack of hospitality. We were never greeted when we arrived at the house nor were we ever asked how our day was or what we were thinking about doing the next day. It seemed like they really did not care. Whenever we asked Francisco for suggestions on places to see... More

Roberto and Marie Sylvie offer delightfully comfortable and rustic accommodations in a gorgeous rural setting, yet not too far from the lovely town of Radda in Chianti. Roberto is very knowledgeable about the area and is happy to share information over his many excellent dinners which include fresh local produce and his delicious homemade wine. They, and their two dogs... More
