Clean, relatively cheap for Norway, Great breakfast, friendly host (worked in Belgium), hope to go back someday. If you want dinner be on time = before 8PM! Would be very nice to sit outside if the weather permits

Located just on the edge of the village, this is a charming guesthouse, with a lovely outdoor area and cosy sitting room when the weather is overcast. The rooms are a bit dated, but the share bathroom was very clean, the breakfast spread was very good, and there was a restaurant on site run by the hosts Thai family. The Thai... More

The title gives the extremes of our stay here away. This old wooden guesthouse stands in a wonderful location at the edge of the village, just a short walk from the fjord and the old church (visit inside if it is open, and look at the stone carvings of what are believed to be the Scottish master-craftsmen on the end... We visited UG during a tour of this part of Norway and of all the hotels we stayed in, the family room we were allocated (Room 8, 2 nights)was the cleanest and freshest we came across on our trip. The location is convenient for Husedalen Valley and not far from the Buerdalen Glacier and although there are no particularly expansive... More

This little hotel is a gem as a place to stop on the way past! We arrived in the late afternoon and found that we had been upgraded from a room with a shared bathroom to having our own en-suite. The owner then pointed in the direction of the pier where we could go for a swim before dinner and... More

A perfect place to stop over for the night when on a driving holiday in the Hardenger Area. The location is excellent, with snow covered hills and the fjord on one side, and the fruit orchards on the other. Very nice walks, in and around. The B&B is neat, clean and cozy, with an outdoor restaurant- ideal for an evening... More

This as the perfect B&B in the Hardanger area if you are seeking an authentic and personal yet professional place in a great location on the fjord for a reasonable price. Travelling alone and staying for just one night I chose a single room with shared bath, but en suite is available as well. The room had a sink and... More

A hotel by impressive Kardenger Fjord oversees snowy mountain on the other side with a lobby decorated perfectly Norwegian style. The room can be told its age by the floor carpet but the furniture and bath room fittings are in perfect condition.

We stayed only for one night, we had the rooms with shared bathroom, only one for 6 rooms. Rooms are very small with a bunk bed. Rooms and shared bathroom were clean and tidy. We arrived about 20 minutes after kitchen closing time, we asked for a place to have dinner at the hotel or elsewhere in the village, but... More

This place is charming, with a homely atmosphere, and offers excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is half norwegian food, half thai. We stayed 5 nights in a fairly basic room without bathroom, but everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff are helpful, attentive and efficient. There is a nice large lounge with TV and... More
