The last time we travelled up this coast was 40 plus years ago, and we camped then right on Anaura Bay beach in a pup tent under a huge pohutukawa. Rather more comfort this time in this truly outstanding b and b. Lovely room with fabulous beach view, warm hostess, and dinner and breakfast that surpassed expectations. We so wish... More

This beachstay is unforgettable. A bit off the beaten track (even SH35 is a bit off the beaten track!) it is very well worth the detour. In fact it is well worth a special trip! Judy, our hostess, treated up like a very indulgent (and very hard working!) young auntie. Nothing too much trouble, spoiling you with treats very much... More

This B&B is so lovely. We felt like we were in a paradise, which we were. We stayed in the cottage on the second floor. You can lie in bed and the views are fantastic. Very private. The owner, Judy is such a lovely kind trusting lady. Her meals are soooo good and you eat outdoors under a covered area.... More

Sometimes you stumble across places or people who make your heart sing, and at Rangimarie we found both. A much-welcome twist of fate was what enabled us to discover this place. We stayed in the villa, and the master bedroom is just stunning - fully private, with panoramic views out across Anaura Bay. We left the french doors open and... More

You won't be disappointed if you can find your way to this excellent B&B. Anaura Bay is a quite beautiful stretch of coast, isolated enough to be almost completely empty. Rangimarie is only a few steps above the beach providing the perfect combination of easy access and excellent views. Judy, the hostess, is an inspiration. Despite some very significant personal... Stayed at Rangimarie Beachstay for one night and could not be more happy with it. Perfect secluded location overlooking Anaura Bay beach, Judy being the perfect host and otherwise also excellent (including Kitten, the 21-year old most beautiful and still playful cat!). Rangimarie Beachstay is a place you don't want to leave again - you instantly feel at home and... More

Well, what can I say. We are travelling around the East coast and called Judy at Rangimarie on the off chance that we could get a one night booking. Judy is doing alterations at the moment and not officially taking bookings. Thankfully she liked the sound of us and made an exception. We have been scoring places as we travel... More

When we found this place we built our New Zealand trip around it. We knew it was to be the central part of our trip, a few days rest i between all the driving around. It was paradise. From that moment we stopped at the top of the bay to take in the view, to judy's warm greeting and her... More

Anyone touring the East Cape is likely to be looking for somewhere a bit off the beaten track and the accommodation blends in nicely with this concept. The quiet approach road is just over 9km from the State Highway and although sealed most of the route it’s fairly narrow (a squeeze for two cars passing) and unsealed for the final... More
